I'll call it...of the two, WL and SC, SC will be the best one playing in a bowl game.

Maybe since there weren't any QBs in the draft last year worth a damn other than maybe Pickett. Willis can't even throw the ball and some thought he'd be the first guy off the board.
He will be drafted, though.

Don’t know, he didn’t go out last year.

You suggested that he should have entered the NFL draft last year. There's no evidence I've seen that he would have been picked in that class as high as he is projected this year.

Seems to me he played it right despite this season.

I'm not certain that he's the top 10 pick many projected yet either. He's definitely getting drafted, but QBs slid last year. Who is to say they won't this year?

Depends on what the NFL scouts feel about his season this year.

I think it has more to do with how NFL scouts feel about his potential.
I agree, I was just responding to the post that said he should have sat out after the Ole Miss game because he didn’t put out good tape after that when he didn’t really put out good tape all season.

Will needs to work on throwing a tighter pass. Too many lobbed passes although there’s pressure on some of these throws. He has all of the physical tools 🛠 in a Josh Allen kind of way; big, strong, and fast. A long way too go but it’s those physical measurables that the NFL will take a chance on.

I honestly don't see it but NFL scouts really don't give a flying F about your college team's performance. With Baker Mayfield being cut last week, a local writer went through the 2018 draft. It looks like this:

  • number one pick was Baker Mayfield, Heisman winner and playoff participant at OK. Traded by Browns and cut by the Panthers now signed with Rams
  • number 3 pick was Sam Darnold, the guy who QBed USC to beat us in the Rose. He was drafted by the Jets, who three years later traded him for a 6h round pick that year and two picks the year after.
  • number 7 pick was Josh Allen from Wyoming. He's done OK (TIC)
  • number 10 pick was Josh Rosen from UCLA by AZ who traded him...he's since been with Miami, Tampa, SFO, ATL and CLE
  • number 31 was Lamar Jackson by the Ravens out of Lousiville. He's done OK!
What does this tell us? Your college experience has little to do with your NFL success and picking a QB is a complete crap shoot other than the scouts want to make sure you have the arm strength to make all the throws.

The 25th pick in the NFL Draft is guaranteed about 15 million, how dare Levis not risk his 15 millionish for a middle of the road bowl game, he must hate his teammates.
Some guy who has season tickets and never played sports thinks Will is disloyal.

So maybe Franklin made the right QB call after all. Perish the thought.
Maybe....Not saying you're wrong. He might have, but QB rating could also be impacted by the OL that gets trucked all game, and receiver quality.

Dude all of those guys you mention played well in college.

Scouts are enamored by his measurable. I think he’s capable of being a good NFL QB. I think he needs time to develop. Think he’s best served by sitting a year or 2 before starting.
