And Republicans in the Senate will do whatever they have to do to get him on the Court. That includes the "nuclear option". If the Dems force that course of action on this nomination , it's going to be a scary eight years for them as Ginsberg and Breyer and maybe Kennedy cash it in. Trump has other young healthy Conservatives waiting in the wings. Once the nuke is dropped, it only takes a simple majority from that point forward. Whatcha gonna do, Schummy?
I can see a couple of DNC staffers being assigned permanently at SCOTUS armed with a mirror to put under Ruthie's nose every ten minutes and with a set of heart shock paddles at the ready.
If Trump screws up every other thing he touches over the next eight years (a la Obama), he will be a rousing success as POTUS if all he ever accomplishes is to appoint a few more Justices just like Gorsuch.
