Tiger played a nice controlled round today hitting all but 3 greens in regulation and having 7 birdies and no bogies for the day. Yesterday he was a bit wild off the tee but today everything was clicking. After this round, he looks like he belongs back on the leaderboard again. He looks great physically as well, maybe a bit slimmer. And he certainly looks more relaxed than what we were used to seeing. If he can keep it together physically he can make golf pretty interesting again as he competes among the young kids.

Wow. Great score. Tiger went low. Wonder if he has met a woman who is taking him to his happy place.

I appreciate these Tiger updates. I love watching golf but it is so much more interesting with Tiget back.

I'm not a golfer, but it appears that his swing is much more compact than I've seen previously. It was very pronounced... to me at least. Did any golfers see something similar? It was interesting, because it appeared as he was holding back considerably.... Almost awkward compared to pre-injury.

He simply has to cut down his backswing a bit or he will mess up his back again.

I don't think he has shortened his backswing at all. If anything, it is a little longer. He is now getting the club parallel at the top again much like he did earlier in his career. The big change is that he is letting his hips turn more away from the ball in the backswing rather than restricting his hip turn to build power. The big shoulder turn with very little hip turn puts a tremendous amount of stress on the lower back. Jason Day does the same thing an his back is falling apart at 28.

This makes sense. Thx
