I may have missed it, but I saw no threads here today. I'm surprised.

I expect a great series and am really looking forward to it. The Indians have had a great year and have peaked at the right time. Made a great move to get Miller and Francona has made some excellent decisions.

The Cubs have been sublime, even though they coasted through much of the 2nd half. Madden is IMHO the 2nd best manager in baseball after Bruce Boche and has them primed to win for the first time in 108 years. Incredible.

My call is a split in Cleveland, but the Cubs take it in 6. We will see!

Despite being a former "yuge" baseball fan, I haven't watched even one MLB game this season. I'll watch parts of the WS only hoping to see the Cubbies finally win it.

Used to be a huge baseball fan growing up and haven't watched a game on TV since '93. The networks have killed it for me and I could care less now. The NFL is getting that way too. The commercial breaks are way too many. Stuff lasts way past my extended nap time. Wish all US pro sports went the European soccer way with all sports; continuous play until the half or 7 inning.

Cleveland was a favorite growing up, so I am pulling for them.

The game does need to be sped up even though they've been trying. There's no way a nine inning game should run beyond three hours.

Trivia fact: The fewest number of pitches thrown in a compete game was on August 10, 1944 by Red Barrett of the Boston Braves. He threw 58 pitches while beating the Cincinnati Reds at Crosley Field. The length of the game was 1:15.

94 was the 2nd strike year (in my lifetime) and I know a lotta guys like you who bailed on baseball because of that. Was that part of the reason? Understandable if so.

Love this kind of Series. Can just enjoy the games without going nuts over any of them.

my bad. I meant to start one, but never got around to it.

both fan bases deserve a winner, with all the suffering they've put up with. I'm rooting for the Cubs, but can't figure out which team has an advantage. I think the Cubs have a better lineup, but they got shut down for long stretches in the postseason. Plus, the Dodgers series flipped the starting lineup, so their pitching strength is somewhat neutralized. The Tribe are a team that keeps grinding, and finds a way to win. I've been impressed with them in the postseason.

I'm interested. Typically can't stand Cubs fans I've interacted with. Rooting for the Indians based on that, and because I'll be wbcleveland in a couple weeks.

A 3:37 nine inning (actually an 8 1/2 inning) game.

That's why I watch only about five minutes of baseball a week during April - September.

Go Tribe - my Dad who passed away in June of 2015 was a huge Cavs and Indians fan. He watched the CAVS win it all from above and hopefully now the Tribe. He used to take us to Municipal Stadium a couple of times a year growing up. Had my first foot long hotdog at the park. Saw Mantle late in his career. Great memories. Go Tribe.

Sorry...can't feel sympathetic to the Cubs fans who also root for the Bulls, Blackhawks, White Sox and Bears. Chicago fans have had their share of championships. Nothing compares to the mess CLE has had to put up with relative to pro sports.

Probably the greatest sports night in CLE history last night. CAVS blow out Knicks, get their championship rings, unroll their championship banner, and the Tribe rolls 6-0 in the first game of the world series.
