I spent the weekend camping with the kids at Deception Pass and I realized that my POS camp stove has got to go. I'm looking for a two burner propane stove that is well built, compact and easy to clean. I'm inclined to purchase a Coleman, but I also see that Camp Chef and Stansport stoves are getting decent reviews as well.

The stove that I have now is a "Century" brand stove that I purchased from REI. It is a POS, the teflon coated grill is flimsy and doesn't sit level on the stove...the brass fitting the connects the propane to the stove is very hard to connect.

I'd appreciate any recommendations that hardened campers have. I'm certainly willing to consider something else entirely (than a two burner propane stove), but I need to err on the side of compactness since I have limited space.

If you're looking for a camping stove, non backpacking, Coleman is your best way to go.

Take the Century back to REI and tell them you're not happy with it. Doesn't matter how long ago you bought it.

Check out Camp Chef...I have a two burner Camp Chef stove. It is excellent it has 2 30,000 btu burners. Parts support is good, lots of extras that provide extra configurations. I have a steel griddle that goes on top. I'm glad I purchased mine, I would buy another one.
