Would be nice to run the ball today.

I get that MSU has the best run D in the country. I want them to be made to give it up to Sanders and TM.
Don't think they have played against a solid rushing team yet.Hopefully Psu is one of those teams and the oline plays their best game yet.

I thought that would be the Key against Ohio State and unfortunately we couldn't impose our will. Hoping today we comeout firing on all cylinders.

We didn't run block for crap against an elite defense of OSU. MSU has 3 stud DT's to crowd the middle, so I hope we can get some lanes for Sanders to run. If they still had those two stud DE's (King/Robertson) who they threw off the team, we would have big problems running the ball.

Yeah this is one of the potential surprises I see for this game. Remember Washington had a huge all-world DT and PSU dealt with him pretty well. You don't have to necessarily overpower people, a little misdirection and cutback and even very big people can be blocked. I wouldn't be surprised at all if PSU ran for 160 yards or so.

MSU is a good run D -- that's Dantonio's defensive foundation. But 30 yards a game -- they're not that good, they have just been up against teams that didn't run the ball.

Likewise I wouldn't assume PSU can just pass the ball at will on these guys. McSorley throws best when he has daylight in front of him and he can step up. MSU really frustrated him last year by clogging passing lanes, staying in the middle and preventing him from stepping up or running wide.
