Right? It's the conference champs, then the next top ranked wild cards, and 12 is the highest group of 5 in Tulane.

Imagine how pissed UW would have been but karma is a B for 2016.

I'm correct aren't I? We would have gotten in right?

Yes. And I can't believe that USC, KState, and Utah are ahead of PSU.

USC looked pretty bad and they lost to a 3 loss team. And the other two have three losses and beat over rated teams on Saturday. And UT lost to a 4 loss team. PSU's resume as a 2 loss team is possibly only surpassed by Bama.

So if I understand the new format we should be hosting a first round game, but with the voting as it is we would be an away team at #11 in the first round playing at UT, the #6 team.

I'm curious how different the rankings would have been if this had a 12 team playoff. As it is, in theory, it would look like

1 Georgia (SEC Champ CFP 1)
2 Michigan (Big Ten Champ CFP 2)
3 Clemson (ACC Champ CFP 7)
4 Utah (Pac XII Champ CFP 8)

12 Tulane (G5 Highest Rank CFP 16) at 5 TCU (At Large CFP 3)
11 Penn State (At Large CFP 11) at 6 Ohio State (At Large CFP 4) I guarantee TCU and Ohio State would be flipped
10 USC (At Large CFP 10) at 7 Alabama (At Large CFP 5)
9 Kansas State (Big XII Champ CFP 9) at 8 Tennessee (At Large CFP 6)

But in theory we'd be playing in Columbus on Saturday

Here's a solution. Don't lose to OSU and Michigan.

That's not the solution to getting dissed and behind 3 loss teams when a team has 2 losses to teams that are ranked higher than the teams the 3 loss teams lost to........

Ha. Some of you guys are fantasizing about getting "DISSED" in a hypothetical future playoff...

The conspiracy is not bound by mere TIME!

Probably would have made the current 4-team playoff if didn’t blow (again) fourth quarter lead against OSU. Loss to Michigan came early enough that a win against #2 OSU would of resulted in PSU being #5 going into last weekend.

Yes - PSU would have been the 6th and final at-large pick.

No 3-loss team would have received an at-large slot over PSU. Both 3-loss teams ranked ahead of them would have received automatic conference championship slots.
