Wow Stanford. What a comeback.

Watching the highlights - colorados secondary sucks. And half of the offense looks like “throw it to hunter short and see if he makes 5 people miss”

I’m over the hype. They are outperforming last year, but that’s due to aggressive use of the portal and cleaning house with prior commits. The rest is pure hot air hubris stuff.

Who cares anymore. Prime got what he wanted out of the pub… now he’s fallen to earth. He’s on the back page now.

Coach prime vocalized he was upset that the game was so late and made comments this week that he was happy to be leaving the Pac 12. Karma has a funny way of working itself out.

They're still on the front page--let's be honest
It will eventually fade if they don't win but he's still Prime. It would be like saying Notre Dame is on the back page. I hate them but if with two losses people still care.
All that said, they lost last night because of coaching. Deion needs to be able to get them to focus and stop worrying about the pub.

I'm sure he's still happy to be leaving the Pac XII lol

Hell, ND is favored by -2.5 over USC with 2 losses.

Deion's entire adult life has been about the pub. Hard to instill something that he never followed.

Very true. And it's clearly become an issue. If he wats to be an elite coach he'll have to figure it out.
Curious to see where he's coaching in 2025. It won't be Colorado IMO.

He told everyone God put him at Jackson St. I’m not sure if God, or money, put him at Colorado. I’m not sure how he has been able to reconcile the hypocrisy of leaving Jackson St so quickly for Colorado.

Deion had the playing career and the charisma to recruit the best athletes wherever he goes. He’s not yet proved to be a high-quality coach. Even at Jackson State he lost games he shouldn’t have because he had far superior talent at that level. We will see if his level of GameDay coaching can catch up to his level of recruiting.

Stanford has one fantastic receiver who Colorado couldn't handle. After the second long TD it might have been smart to double-team him rather than leave the small CO corner on an island like that (he played well but was not able to match up physically).

Young Sanders (the QB) played a great game, but wow, he lost track of situational football -- whatever you do, don't throw an INT in the endzone on 3rd down in OT. It's basically giving the game away.

I drove to my sisters last night, so I listened to the second half on the Stanford radio broadcast. My takeaway is that I didn’t know the FCC allowed grown men to have multiple organisms over the airwaves.

Deion was polarizing as a player. But his talent was undeniable. Deion is polarizing as a coach, but his talent is still TBD.

Love him or hate - he’s always been this way.
And love or hate him...everyone is paying attention.

The first second an SEC job opens that pays double, he’s out. Boulder will never be elite. He wants to be better than Saban.

Deion was the best pure cover corner I have seen and also played MLB. Like him or not, unlike many big talkers. Deion also walked the walk.

No denying any of that. It's one of the reasons he was able to convince a Travis Hunter to play at Jackson State for him. Currently, it seems that it isn't possible to portal in an offense and a defense simultaneously.

Might want to tell the game announcers from last night. I’ve never seen announcers flat out worship a coach and lose all objectivity as I have in the Colorado games this year.

I was half watching last night as Colorado built a 29-0 lead and they said Deion was ‘America’s coach’ and Colorado was the ‘center of the college football world’. Boulder is a small distant outpost at best. ;)

Yes, everyone--notice you read the thread
Yes, i read the thread. I did not watch the meaningless game, i did notice what a great comeback the game was and was interested to see what others had to say about it (not everyones). Not because of sub prime or his meaningless response but because i like stanford who has had some interesting and meaningfull games, including one I recall with PSU.

I don't think he's the best coach or even close to it but Prime has a large fan base especially among black Americans. And look how many threads exists about Colorado this season just on this board. More than any other school since the start of the season? Easily top 4.

The game was on at 11pm on the east coast so few people watched--check out the ratings for Colorado games this year.
The fact you refer to him as "sub prime" shows you're invested.

GSPMax, that’s all that matters, our resident, megalomanic received some attention.
I encourage people to ignore me all the time. I'd much rather discuss football with a handful of people that actually comprehend it then people like you. Or Max who claims not to care about Colorado but says "Sub Prime" when referring to Deion.

Invested? I don't think so. If you follow college football, you have not been able to miss the hype. I do enjoy some good schadenfreude (look it up). So if you think that makes me invested, so be it.

Regarding his nickname of "sub prime", i thought it was quite cleaver and appropriate.

Right...you've paid attention to the hype and want him to fail. Sub prime isn't clever...just shows you care.

I will ask you this question again because i do not recall if you a answered. Did you at any level actually ever participate in organized football? Also, how far back do your PSU ties extend.

Born a Penn State fan and graduated from Penn State in 1999...did you attend college? Even a community college?

My ties go back 100 years with 7 degrees within the family. I have nearly 200 credits with my two degrees. I attended my first PSU football in about 1962.
You have a lot to learn about PSU football and being a college football fan. Keep reading this board and you can learn but you have to learn to stfu. It is said that it is better to keep your mouth shut and let people think you are not too smart than open your mouth and prove that you are a dolt.
I appreciate your honesty about never having played organized football.

My family attended as well but it doesn't count prior to you being born. You being borderline elderly doesn't make you a better fan...just makes you unable to accept how the game has changed.
You're clearly an individual who only roots for Penn State literally knows nothing about the game. That's okay. The changes being made aren't trying to interest you. They care about those that still will watch in a decade.

Does being an asshole make you a better fan?
You demonstrate a common trait of your younger generation. If it did not happen after I was born, it never happened.
Being "borderline elderly" has certain advantages. One being that I likely will not see the demise of this country because your age group lacks the traits that made this country great.
Since this is a football board, I am done with you on this and what I know.

I don't know. You tell me since you're clearly an asshole.
Pretending you were a fan decades before you were born is psychotic
My age group...I'm way older than you think apparently
Be done...you know nothing
