WR recruit, Lex Cyrus, ran a 10.41 100 meter in state preliminary round.

It's not the best time of the day either!

National record in the 1600 from a Butler Area senior.

Links to all preliminary and final heats today and tomorrow, if you happen to be an old track and field fan.

I saw Cyrus's HS film and he is lightning quick on the field. Reminds me of Hamler. Hope he is a great WR for us.

That 1600 meter time is super fast. The California HS state track and field meet is this weekend. There are a couple boys who could go under 4 in the 1600. The 3200 winner will probably go about 8:40ish.

Hope we land this speedy recruit.— There’s already a walk-on WR (from Conemaugh Township) on the roster that runs that time……having 2 can’t hurt.

He took 3rd overall. His finals time was 10.53 seconds. Not many DBs will be catching him from behind.

I think he has improved his recruitment with these times.

He is not just a track guy playing pitch and catch on the football field. He has good body control, is fairly sudden, and can change direction pretty well. His speed is elite.
