It's been something I've been working on all summer, though it should not have taken that long, but on behalf of WrestleStat and the LevelChanger team, we are happy to announce the inclusion of Takedown LIVE stats in the WrestleStat site.

So, what is it?

Takedown LIVE is an application that tracks the real-time scoring of wrestling matches. Everything that happens during a match is tracked through the iOS app. Takedowns, escapes, stalling, everything.

With the vast amount of data that WrestleStat has already, adding this piece of information is just icing on the cake. Now, when viewing a wrestlers match results from their profile page, the Takedown LIVE icon/link will appear next to the opponents name in the match results list, that indicates that the Takedown LIVE data is available. When clicked, a screen will pop-up displaying the match information as stored in the Takedown LIVE database.

For more information on LevelChanger, and/or the Takedown LIVE application, you can visit their website here: https://www.levelchanger.com/

How/when does this information get into WrestleStat?

Takedown LIVE data is used primarily at the high school level, but the interest is rapidly rising at the college level. There's only a handful of Division I teams that are signed up for the service so far. For matches that are in the Takedown LIVE system, there's a link established between the two systems (WrestleStat and Takedown LIVE). At this time, that link is generated through a manual process. So moving forward, it may take a day or two before the data is available in WrestleStat; but as soon as it is, that icon/link will appear.

If you have any questions, or if you'd like to get your team to start utilizing this powerful app, send an email to either wrestlestat@gmail.com, or support@levelchanger.com

Here are some links Central Michigan and Stanford, who both are signed up for Takedown LIVE, therefore the majority of their matches from last season will have data:

Central Michigan: https://www.wrestlestat.com/team/15/central-michigan/profile
Stanford: https://www.wrestlestat.com/team/70/stanford/profile

Feel free to give any positive/negative feedback, or questions you may have.

Thanks everyone! The official release will be coming soon!

Thank goodness for big data. I enjoy ice hockey, and the stats , such as Corso for etc., make it all the more enjoyable. Thank you.
