They have Pletcher winning a match 9-3. Already questioning the accuracy of this

At a glance it doesn't look like Wrestlestat has many 1st round upsets. Hard to predict that but it happens every year

Wow, an almost perfect storm for PSU! These picks would be great! In terms of no 1st round upsets, none stood out to me in a quick glance. There is McCrystal over Heilmann 2nd round and Kolodzik making all the way to the finals, including beating Sorenson in semis. They also have A Valencia beating Wick and Marianelli in consolations. Micic beating Gross would be a surprise to me, even if it's only #2 over #1.

This "simulation" pretty much guarantees it won't work out that way.

In reviewing it, it is a pretty good outcome for PSU. Realistically though, I don't think it's a stretch at all to have PSU get 5 again. I think 97 is wide open and Rasheed has just as good of chance as anyone else, 174 is a two horse race, and the other 3 are almost locks (don't think Martin will surprise Nickal again). I don't think tOSU has the horses to compete, and I think a couple of their high seeds (e.g., McKenna and Pletcher) will fall to defeat much too soon for tOSU to be a serious threat.

I don't blame him. But that's a brutal weight class. Anyone not named Joseph or IMAR could perhaps fall in the second round and definitely lose in the third IMO.

This prediction is as good as any although I find it hard to believe that PSU gets 5 more winners in 2018. Nevertheless, can you imagine back to back yrs with five champs? How often has that been done? Then look to 2019 and the only holes in the PSU lineup will be filled by elite HS AA’s at 125, 133, and 149. It could be 5-6 in 2019!
