...PSU is going to be a very difficult environment for them to play in as PSU is potentially playing for an opportunity to go to the B1G Championship Game, is riding a 7-game Conference win-streak (longest since 1994 - does that year ring any bells?) and PSU's longest overall win-streak also since 1994! None of the jabbering-jabronis at BTN or E-spin have mentioned any of this?!?! PSU plays like a team possessed @home and is 6-0 there this year including a win over #2 daO$U and PSU is 12-1 @home over the past two seasons! But according to the jabbering-jabronis, MSU comes into the game with more to play for and the "intangibles" advantage? Huh, wtf??? PSU is 13-7 against MSU since joining the b1g in 1993 - PSU is 8-2 @Home and 5-5 at Spartan Stadium, but somehow Beaver Stadium is not going to be a huge NEGATIVE FACTOR for MSU next Saturday? Again, huh...WTF? You would think PSU is playing @MSU or something the way these @sshats are talking, LMFAO!

This is nearly as pathetic as their "the daO$U win was a fluke" in their efforts to discount PSU, PSU as a program and PSU's on field accomplishments! Really pathetic! - another great example is how they talk up Wisconsin and PSU has the far better "resume" - Wisconsin has only beaten 3 teams with +.500 records and only one of them is ranked - UNL, way back in the second 10! PSU crushed one of Wisconsin's other +.500 wins, Iowa, and Wisconsin barely snuck by them. PSU has a better b1g record 7-1 vs 6-2....PSU beat daO$U while Wisconsin lost to daO$U....etc..., but according to all the jabbering-jabronis on the b1g shizhole network, Wisconsin deserves to be ranked higher than PSU? Huh??? WTF??? But these homer scumbags are "perfectly unbiased", don't you know?

I am going to lose a lung at this game. FRTT, you had better be there raging.

kudos for the use of "jabrony" , a word we really do need to see more often

but let them talk Wisky up all they want to- if things break our way, we want them to be as highly regarded as possible

The correct spelling is "jabroni" according to every usage I have ever seen including Dictionary.com - HIT THE LINK. It means loser or goofball - somebody who is not to be taken seriously.

Great point....let them talk and keep our players our coaches hungry. I want our players and coaches to think MSU will be a major challenge this Saturday.

Don't let the media upset you, but I can tell they have though. All we need to do is win next week at Beaver Stadium and then win where ever and whenever the next game will be. If OSU beats Michigan, we'll take on Wisky or NE. If Michigan beats OSU, we'll focus on our major bowl opponent!

Just curious, how did giabroni become jabrony ??

I expect a tough game. I do not think MSU is as bad as their record. They should have beaten tOSU.

MSU is going to be a decided underdog given that the game is being played @ The Beav - not @MSU. daO$U was playing @MSU yesterday, not @home. There is a world of difference in MSU playing a PSU, daO$U or scUM @home versus at their place - a massive difference! For instance, PSU is 13-7 against MSU since joining the b1g -- 8-2 @home and 5-5 Away.....daO$U is 13-5 over the same span against MSU and scUM is only 13-11 over the same span versus MSU. scUM is 8-3 @home and 5-8 Away. The notion that MSU does not face a serious disadvantage playing this game @ The Beav (especially given their record and the fact that they will bring next to no fans), given PSU's substantial "home-field advantage" @ The Beav and everything PSU has on the line, is just absurd to the extreme. MSU faces a very hostile environment similar to the Iowa or daO$U games and to claim that playing this game @ Beaver Stadium where PSU has played like a team possessed and the crowd noise is a huge factor for the visiting team's offensive cohesiveness is just silliness if you ask me. PSU will be a heavy favorite @home on the betting line and PSU has performed extremely well ATL this year both home and away.

I saw a derivation that disagreed with Dictionary.com citation. According to the derivation I saw, it was an Italian word (specifically from Milan) used to refer to some type of smoked ham. The term became used in America to refer to Italian immigrants who wore there hair slicked back and had a somewhat ostentatious style -- in other words, similar to somebody saying a party is acting like a "ham bone" or "hamming it up". Have no idea if true or what Milanese word they are referring to, but one of the derivations I read made that claim.

I'm hoping. I think we will be facing much better players than we have for the last two weeks. Now whether those better players will play better remains to be seen.

Defensively, MSU does not have much better players than IU this year. Of course, RU isn't in the discussion.

MSU did not bring any fan's two years ago and they kick PSU's tail, so I don't think that will effect them- but the PSU crowd will. PSU wins by 25.

It depends on which MSU team wants to show up, the one from yesterday, or the one from the rest of the season that needed to play RU to have a conference win.

Don't go back "two years ago!" We true fans know what our team was like "two years ago", and it wasn't a FULL team. We are now 2-deep all over the board. Can't wait for Dantonio and his lumbering team.

Again, MSU was playing @home yesterday - they are going to be on the road next week in one of, if not the most, difficult environments to play in as a road team. PSU is 6-0 @ The Beav this year including beating #2 daO$U there. PSU is 11-1 at home over past two seasons. PSU is 8-2 vs MSU @ Beav since beginning b1g play (only 5-5 @MSU).

Comparing how they played daO$U @home is not an analogous comparison to playing PSU @ The Beav next week.

Pretty sure we started 99 9-0.

I thought you might be interested in this post I made in the Lions Den concerning MSU playing on the road this year. As you will see, they didn't play a current "B10 power team."
****************************************************************************************
Let's look at MSU's three B10 Conference road games (all losses):
@ Indiana = LOST 24-21
@ Maryland = LOST 28-17
@ Illinois = LOST 31-27
Played 3 lower tiered teams on the road, and LOST them all! MSU's only win was against the WORST team in the conference (Rutgers). So, if MSU LOST to those 3 teams by an average score of 28-22, I feel pretty good about our chances next week.
1. HOME game!
2. SENIOR DAY!
3. Possible DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP on the line!
4. PAYBACK for that "in your face" loss last year in East Lansing!

Many students home for Thanksgiving. Let's hope for strong attendance overall.

We're (MSU) 14pt underdogs. Do you think that's accurate?

No doubt, great post. MSU played daO$U tough, but the game was @home - ditto their game against scUM. They have been a putrid road team this year as you've pointed out and b1g road games they've played to date pale in comparison to the "home field advantage" that PSU will possess @ The Beav (or the difficulty of playing PSU @ The Beav especially this year). PSU is going to be a big favorite @home and with very good reason!

So it's a racist term. I can call you and the Rock racists now. I think with the election it's a free for all on calling people racists.

...what percentage of our students do you think will come back early from fall break to attend the game?...

If Michigan wins, the disappointment could cause us to lose. Let's hope neither happens...

Don't think so, the difference between the bowl that PSU would go to as a 10-2 team versus a 9-3 team based on their Final Rank in the CFB Playoff Ranking is substantial regardless if scUM wins - the Rose Bowl takes the highest ranked b1g team in the Final CFB Playoff Ranking that does not got to the 4-Team Invitational Tournament.
