You might be right about the whole room if PSU can build a substantial lead (3 TDs). It might take a few games to solidify the starters and find those who can also contribute. I just don't see anymore than 6 getting consistent PT this season.

First games are funny... We shall see.

3rd wr is Liam Clifford...best performance in camp and gets open...

This team is going to win with defense, Clifford is a good solid possession receiver and that's what this offense will be all about.

As far as starting lineups go, I say there are 2 potential combinations that we see early and it's all dependent on where KLS lines up.

1. KLS - slot, Wallace and Evans outside
&
2. KLS - outside, Wallace outside, Clifford slot.

As OP said, it is possible that we go 12 personnel and Johnson and Warren are on the field with KLS and Wallace.

Now, if Yurcich wants to come out with the curve ball, we come out in 21 personnel:

Singleton and Allen in the back field together, KLS, Wallace, and Johnson at WR/TE spots.

I take it as a good sign that Cephas, who had impressive numbers prior to his transfer, is not (or not yet) in projected starting lineups. Seems like the existing talent on the PSU roster is pretty good.

I think you bring up a great point. Our guys are just young and have seen very few snaps. They need live action. Cephas could end up being a major contributor, but perhaps he returns next year as well vs 1 and gone.

Exactly. Lots to be said about all the WR's that came back, as well as the incoming transfers, in addition to KLS and Wallace. And I'm not totally sold on Wallace being able to hold off the rest of the WR's for his starting positon as the season goes along as Wallace didn't exactly set the world on fire the last 2 seasons.

Evans - reportedly stronger and more physical in addition to his speed
Saunders - worked hard on his strength and conditioning to go with his speed and elusiveness
Clifford - sure handed and also now a couple years in the S&C program
McClain - tested great in the winter S&C and made tough catches along with very good YAC in his limited FSU highlights
Cephus - proven ability to be a big factor and get open for last 2 seasons
Meiga - big, physical WR that can make plays on special teams, and if he is catching the ball better could make plays at WR.

Other than Meiga, I see it as 7 WR's that could rise to the level of starter during the upcoming season. I only see KLS as a sure starter looking ahead to the stretch run of the season.

Cephas was hurt by not being here for spring practice. Outside of KLS I don’t think any one knows who will be playing. It would probably take a couple games to sort itself out.
