Indiana has a chance to have 3 AAs at 141 this year. I'll pick the youngest to place the highest :) Got this from IndianaMat:

These are the only high school results between the three.
2014- Micic (Senior) 44-0 over Nick Lee (Freshman) 33-1 by score of 10-3 at 126lbs.
2016- Red (Senior) 44-0 over Nick Lee (Junior) 16-1 by score of 6-5 at 132lbs.

Nick Lee
2018- freshman 33-7 (5th)
2019- sophomore 31-4 (5th)
2020- junior 20-1 (COVID)
2021- senior 13-1 (National Champ)
202- Senior
Lee has a normal college trajectory. Five years with a redshirt. Lee's was the covid year. Is there anyway for him to get another year somehow? It seems crazy that these three's eligibility would be out this year at the same time knowing when Micic was a senior in high school, Red was a sophomore, and Lee was a freshman.

Stevan Micic
2015- Freshman 17-3 @ Northwestern
2016- Olympic Redshirt Freshman 0-0
2017- Redshirt Freshman 29-7 (4th)
2018- Sophomore 26-3 (2nd)
2019- Junior 19-1 (3rd)
2020- Senior 0-0
2021- Redshirt Senior 0-0
2022- Senior
Micic will have been in college for eight years. He is listed as a graduate student.

Chad Red
2017- Redshirt Freshman 17-3
2018- Freshman 26-11 (7th)
2019- Sophomore- 24-13 (8th)
2020- Junior 19-7 (covid)
2021- Senior 16-6 (6th)
2022- Senior
Red has a normal trajectory except for COVID happening.

Sure - why not? Indiana the leading state at 141? Very nice for the home proud - totally get it. But I need a comparison.
Top 10 at 141 currently has nobody from a PA HS. This has to be the only weight in the past X # of years this has happened.

I just went through the Intermat top 12 at 141. No PA high schoolers. I have to think Indiana leads at three.

1/18 Intermat has Cole Matthews at 20 and Darren Miller at 21.

33 Ryan Anderson was a 2x PA state champ at Bethlehem Catholic but is a NJ resident.

Mark Hall drove thru Indiana a few times moving from Michigan to Kentucky to Minnesota.
If you guys keep going, we might pass PA for the best high school wrestling talent :) I'm just happy to see IU and Purdue keeping some of our best talent in state and competing in the Big10. Of course I'd like to see PSU get the best of the best from Indiana.

DT had frequent flyer miles over IN

I'm also pretty sure suriano is in the portal to there now too

Too bad Mendez didn't stay in-state. It would've helped elevate either program, though it might have cost Tan Tom a recruiting national title.

With his haul, losing Mendez to Indiana wasn't going to cost him national champion recruiting banner.

interesting topic...174 is definitely a PA stronghold and possibly the strongest state rep of any weight with #s 1,3,4,5,7,11 (using WS bc algorithms are perfect). 133 not far behind for PA and good representation at 184, 197 & htw. 125 (wo lee) & 141 are our weakest.
