Looking at the depth chart it seems like all of our weights are in a good position moving forward with their backups in play. Which by the way is unreal haha but it looks like the one place we need to address is 149/57. This is greedy I know! But with Berge going to 57 after this year him and Verk will both be sophomores. So my guess is the next weight we see commit would be 49 guys. The top 2 are Saunders and Bartlett. What are people's thoughts on those 2 and do we have any recruiting momentum towards them?

What about Berge at 157 and Verk at 149?

They're both very good, but we don't need starters at either weight until HS Class of 2021 (if shirting) or 2022 (if not).

I'm expecting the next few starter tyoe recruits to be more luxury than need, so it could be one of them or Ferrari or Amos or Facundo or whoever else Cael locks in on.

Is it safe to say that you could have phrased your question, "Is anyone else concerned about 149/157 moving forward?"

I will say I’m excited to watch Berge vs Marcua next week. I think Berge is going to be fantastic
I agree--I think that Verk and Berge having close matches is due to familiarity. Not taking anything away from Verk, but I do believe Berge offence is simply better. Berge seems to be much better on his feet.

Not that hard to find worries, just need to read threads here.

As an aside, if you want to know what PSU is doing right but comes across in a backhanded way, just stroll on over to H*.

I am in no way concerned about those weights ha Cael always has a plan plus Verk and Berge are great wrestlers. With getting a commit yesterday I just wanted to see if people thought that these weights would be the next to pull the trigger and if we had momentum with anyone

I actually think that 149 will definitly be a target for the 2020 class. With Redshirt they won't wrestle until after Nick Lee graduates.

I think it is a lock that we get at least one if not more of either; Saunders, Bartlett, Jesse V, in that order of pedigree. Cael could turn any one of them into a hammer.

Verk will be a SR in 2022.

Also Hillegas is committed to VT.

I don’t make a habit of correcting spelling, but you seem to like the word pedigree so I thought i’d point out how to spell it. :)

I am 100% mobile for input to these threads. A poor speller (I have an engineer's brain), slightly dyslexic, and the spell check from my Android phone doesn't seem to work on this board. From hereto forward you can assume I have at the very least 1 spelling error in every post

Yep, it is dyslexic, your one for this post, LOL

Saunders is a stud , I think he would make leaps in the Penn State room. I think he'll go to Cornell unfortunately.

Heck Cael has been following Josh Saunders which is very rare...He and the staff want him bad. We have a great shot at getting him from the couple people i have talked with the last few days....Lives in Misouri and really likes PSU....Come join the DYNASTY....

I hope so!! I've ran into Josh and his Dad at tournaments since he was in about 5th grade. He usually had a Cornell singlet on. Good , humble kid and good family. My kids are a little younger and he was always great with them.

He would fit in well at Penn State , hes a Cael kinda kid.
