2019 Alumni Trustee Election thread - candidates encouraged to post

What would be the difference between the current alumni trustees and a puppet trustee? I'll go ahead and answer; there will be no difference as neither one will attempt to do a damn thing! Everyone here knows this to be true.

Why in the world would you continue to vote for people that clearly don't give a crap?

After viewing his video, I think Ballou is particularly nauseating. I think he would be worse than what we have. Also don't want Dambly to get his way.

Sucks all around, no doubt about it.

Believe what you want, but one thing should be clear to everyone...Barry would be the ONLY Alumni Trustee that will try to do the right thing.

As opposed to those who would jam PSU and its alumni up the wazzoo? Not a great set of choices, but I know which one I would make.

Cant see writing in someone who is constitutionally rude and perhaps a bit slow on the uptake.

Not to mention that the guy seems to have an agenda, which usually means someone's out to line their own pockets.

You're speculating about what a change in the trustees may bring about but I'm sure you already known what will happen if we don't make a change. Absolutely nothing will happen. It makes no sense to not try.

The upcoming Alumni Trustee election will begin Wednesday, April 10th and conclude 9 AM Eastern on May 2. Ballots will be emailed from "psuelections@votenet.com" (which FYI has a tendency to be intercepted by Clutter and spam filters). Please click this link to request a ballot.

Ballot positions were released today and are as follows:
1. William F. Oldsey, ’76 Lib, Boalsburg, Pennsylvania
2. Barbara L. Doran, ’75 Lib, New York, New York
3. Edward “Ted” B. Brown III, ’68 Sci, State College, Pennsylvania
4. Jeffrey P. Ballou, ’90 Com, Washington, D.C.
For those interested, biographical information & position statements can be found at this link.

Candidates -- especially those seeking write-in candidacy -- are encouraged to post in this thread, as are friends, supporters, current/former trustees who may wish to provide endorsements or other pertinent information. Write-in candidates are further encouraged to share germane vital statistics such as:
-full name
-graduation year
-degree
-place of residence

Jeffery Ballou spoke at Huddle with the Faculty last year. He was the worst presenter of the year.

There it is everyone...the Hippo doesn't want Barry so that should be good enough for you to write him in. Make sure to ONLY vote for Barry.

If he was a viable candidate, wouldn't he have received enough nominations to appear on the ballot?

If the last 8 years have taught you anything you'd realize that Barry is the ONLY viable candidate. For once, do what's right and not just what's popular. Dambly loves popular candidates that he can control. Why would you want to continue doing what has be done every year with zero results and not attempt to make a change. It CAN NOT be worse than what we have gotten so far.

If Barry doesn't tone it down a bit and gets removed we are no worse off, and perhaps he will have lit a fire along the way. I've spoken to Barry and I don't expect this to happen.

Don't be a sheep, the herd mentality is unbecoming.

Anthony Lubrano, I believe that you tried and I'm not lumping you in with the rest of our so called trustees.
