2019 Women's WC -- USA vs. Thailand

Honestly the sports spend and focus in this country is so disproportionate to rest of world - particularly for women - that I gave a hard time getting excited sbout putting a whooping on Thailand.
And we are supposed to take seriously a world competition where one qualifying team beats another 13-0? The women’s World Cup is officially a joke.

Just a simple request to the OP. Please don't post sports scores in the subject line. It doesn't matter for this particular game, but some folks like to record games to watch later.
Similar things happen in international hockey. It happens still in men’s basketball.
Kreiger is probably at best the second outside back option off the bench for the team this cycle. She is 36 I believe. She might get a little time if there is an injury or we have a spot locked up late in the group stage.
If Jaelene Hinkle had not been kept off the team for political reasons Kreiger probably would not have made the team. Hinkle is very similar to Crystal Dunn. An outside back who rampages up and down the flank. Hopefully it doesn’t cost us later in the tournament not having the ability to get both backs forward if we need a goal.
Yes in soccer terms she is old. Given the way the US wants to possess and have their outside backs almost play like wingbacks I don’t see Kreiger being much use other than as a late game sub. If we suffer an injury at that position we could be in trouble.
