2022 Recruiting Class Thread

Was just told by a teacher at Williamstown that Keon Sabb is transferring to IMG

I don't know this for a fact, but I think you could draw a solid conclusion that MY is at least somewhat responsible for this offer

interesting film. He has a good o line in the highlights because he never gets touched. It might just be me, but his throwing motion looks low and kind of funky. But man he is very accurate, has a fast release, and has some strength on those deep balls. Looks like he has a florida offer, so I am sure he will rocket up the rankings before long.

PSU liked him a lot. He wasn't at the top of their board, but he was in the mix. He had visited PSU months ago, on his own, and seemed to come close to verballing at that time. He recently visited ND, and after returning home he pulled the trigger.

I just started to get up to speed on the 2022 recruiting class so forgive me if this has already been covered. What is the story with Enai White five star DE from Philly. Seems like this is the type player we have failed to get recently.

Conventional wisdom is that it's a race between PSU, Ohio State, and the usual SEC powers. Has been mentioned a few times that he wants to get away from home. No telling what that means in mileage or environment, but that's the word.

Seems like a lot of Penn. kid, or northern players want to get away from their home region.

That's not encouraging. I hope the three hours drive to State College is far enough.

Also, a week or so ago was a leaked recruiting call with Nick Saban, basically telling the recruit that you’re practicing against future NFL players at every position to make you better. The recruit on the other end of the call was Enai White.

I saw that clip with Saban not good news for us. Recruiting burns my britches:mad:

That was an interesting video. It’s pretty obvious that from the smooth relaxed manner in which Saban delivered the message he’s faced and overcome that issue on numerous occasions.

Can’t really argue with that.

Yeah.....for some kids, going an hour away into a completely different environment may scratch the itch and give them enough distance. I went to college only 3 hours away from my hometown, and I felt as though I was on the other side of the world. So who knows how he sees it.

I get the sense that he's like Elijah Jeudy in that he's looking first at the SEC......with Larry Johnson and Ohio State being a legit option.

I was thinking the same thing. That's a pretty solid recruiting pitch from Bama if we're being honest. I'm sure Franklin and the guys have their own unique strategy as well though.
I imagine there’s the we’re going to build something great here with you as the foundation pitch ( Vanderbilt and Missouri as an example). Then you’re the one thing we need to get to elite pitch and several others I’m sure. ( Auburn and Mississippi here ). But damn it’s a tough mountain to climb when Saban has all those National Championship trophies and scores of guys going in early draft rounds to the League. That’s hard enough, and then with the grey area’s on top of all that it’s a very tough thing to counter.

Well the saving grace is that you make a boatload of money and when you eventually get fired he hires you as a consultant. You then get rehabbed and soon rehired somewhere else and life goes on. Somewhat like being a feeble minded member of one of those old inbred European dynasties.

And yes I just used those schools as examples so there’s no need to run and fact check to see if he actually hired someone from them.

Addison Copeland decommited from Rutgers a few days ago. Got an ND offer this week as well

A big part of Copeland's recruitment centers around his speed. The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Copeland ran the 55 meters in 6.66 seconds in the winter of his sophomore year of high school.

"(Rutgers) has a great architecture program, which is what I want to fall back on if football doesn't work out,"

Pretty gullible kid.
