I know I'm a little slow but the continued presence and connections that Bob Asher has with so many of the "playa's" in the Sandusky/TSM scandal. I am beginning to think that maybe we didn't really expunge the real demons from the Budd Dwyer scandal. We get so focused on the immediate and lose sight of the bigger picture...

This is really about political racketeering that has been in place in PA politics for decades.

Can someone who is more in the know enlighten me?

I would not read too much into this. Asher has serious connections to every Republican who has held or run for statewide office in the past 25 years. You don't get nominated by the party unless you pay homage to him. IIRC he is also a delegate to the RNC. So he is a player nationally as well.

Thanks. I just see these common threads: people, politics, money, business and hints of organized crime and it's all wrapped up in one party.

It is quite normal for you to be suspicious of an ex-convict.

Some people seem to need to get their minds around that simple fact.

He did not go to jail to get rehabilitated, imho.
