Success for this season will be determined by the return they get for Hamels, Papelbon, and Revere. Hopefully someone will take Howard (even if Phils eat salary), and Utley doesn't get the AB's to trigger the 2016 option.
True - but, there doesn't appear to be a Harper, Strasburg, Cole, Bryant, etc. type prospect in next year's draft. That is a long way off, but it looks like it could be a similar draft as in 2015. No clear cut #1 pick.
I tortured myself and watched all four games thinking I'd be able to see one of their few victories this season. Dang!! The poor overall leadership of the organization is trickling down to the fiield. When the interim manager mentions players by name and talks as though they won't be around much like longer, why should the individual players and team in general give a damn? I'm sure they're competing as hard as they can but deep in the back of their subconscious minds there must be a voice saying, "Eff this."
