That is what PSU avg. per play last year which was ranked 120 out of 128.. I know I keep posting things about the offense. But I have been watching a ton of games from last year, looking at different aspects of the offense where we struggled to try and zero in why, besides just a bad O-line?
4.4 yards per play, means very little big chunk plays of say 20 plus yards a play. This is a reflection of our passing game. Regardless of the O-line they have to scheme better, to get bigger chunk plays, which will in turn mean more scoring. You cant dink and dunk the whole game an expect to score much.
We avg. 100 yards rushing last year. We will do better next year because Lynch will get the bulk of the carries, as he was much better than Belton was. And hopefully the O-line will be a little better. Our running game will be better next year (it's hard to be much worse) but how much better depends on the O-line.
