5-reason why we lost the game: UNDERSIZED, OVER-MATCHED, OUT-RECUITED, NOT PREPARED, & JUSTIN FIELDS (repost)

As you know, the reasons why threads are eliminated are never discussed. As I did not see the thread, I can only speculate but it is possible that several respondents made it into something that you had not intended.

UNDERSIZED
OVER-MATCHED
OUT-RECRUITED
NOT PREPARED
JUSTIN FIELDS

And what's with this 'Fair-catch' bull sheet on receiving kick-offs?
It is better than getting the ball at the 5 yard line-see the INDIANA game.

I don't understand.

?

Can somebody answer.

Thank you!

#6 James Franklin. Time for James to take a serious look in the mirror. Keeps changing assistant coaches, yet very little changes. Our OL and DL rarely hold their own. The RPO is slow developing and the only running play in our playbook. It was clear Lee was our best back last week. How many carries this week? Zero. We have a QB that looks great vs average competition, but somehow looks slow and confused vs top competition. We continue to play players, #71 and #38 come to mind, that would not start at one other top 25 ranked team. I could go on and on and on. The definition of insanity is continuing to do the same thing over and over and over again, yet expect different results. Two games into the season, we have ZERO games left against top 25 competition, which means we are irrelevant in the college football conversation for the next ten months. Way to go James!

That thought came to my mind as well this morning.

I don't watch much CFB other than Penn State but yesterday I did check out bits of the LSU-Auburn game, Indiana-Rutgers, and ND-GT. One thing that strikes me when I watch Penn State play is how much slower everything seems to develop on offense, and on defense there is, again, a lack of speed - and skills.

I'm a Franklin defender, but how many more times are we going to see a situation where PSU should be hurrying up and slows down. Or, should be slowing the game down but hurries it up? We've seen them do the opposite of the right thing so many times.

Because it guarantees that you get the ball on the 25. In case you haven’t noticed our kick return hasn’t exactly been gang busters this season. The only time we returned it the returner was cut down at the 21. This ain’t exactly rocket science. I didn’t have a problem with it

Thank you for responding but I did have a problem with it.

It shows IMO no confidence in your kick off team.

A long run, on a kick-off can inspire a team

A return is just the ticket some time!!

BIG-MO!!

Come on guy in the immortal words of Aaron Rodgers RELAX. No amount of coaching was going to fix the talent gap in the trenches, especially between OSU’s DL and PSU’s OL (something that was supposed to be a strength this year) and at QB. Fields is terrific. Of course the fact that he had a clean pocket most of the night and had time to go through his progressions whereas Clifford was under constant pressure made a big difference but he’s simply a great player.
Saw lots of positives last night: Porter is a big time corner (and of course his replacement was burned for a long TD on a double move when he was out for a few plays), looks like they found their big time WR in Dotsan (his one handed grabs with first his left hand and then his left and then his right on consecutive plays against a kid who an OSU fan claims is a 1st round draft pick were the best 2 catches I have seen in a long time), Smith showed signs of being a good LB as the game went on: the true frosh WRs, especially Washington look like platers, 51 (Becton Has think) looked good on the DL. This team will get better as the season progresses. Too bad they played OSU in week 2 and of course stepped on their you know what’s against Indiana.

I get your point but it seems to me there far bigger issues than this.
