C'mon Rivals... 3 stars with offers from Bama, ND, and O$U? Really? The ones I also like are Duke, Stanford, Vandy. Smart guy, very underrated. Will play a big role in the ascension of Penn State football.

Franklin and staff continue to amaze!

If he had gone to ND or tO$U he would have been given a 4th star and be in serious consideration for a possible 5th by Rivals.

c'est la vie

Could someone please give the phonetics of his name? Preets or Prites?

Also, for those of us not following recruiting as closely as others, please give the background on his family and "born a Nittany Lion".

TIA

The Penn State media guide in 1980 states that the dad's name is pronounced "Pritts." Unless Andrew pulls a Tony Dorsett, the same should apply to Ed's son.

So gratifying. Welcome home, Andrew Pryts & Family!

^^ Boy, he's got such a knack for hard hits. Plays real physical. Just a great all-around football player. Looks like he was born to play Shoop's STAR DB/LB spot (or take over for Marcus Allen at SS). Could probably start on our coverage teams this Saturday at Temple!

With 20 commits.....how many more openings are there in this class? Thanks!!
There are really only 5/6 targets left: Nixon, Hamlin, Hansford, Ferns, Fuller, and any 5* or top 4* who may be interested late or flip to us. Secondary targets are Hudson and Okeke, but they would need other guys to pass to get into the class. If the first 5 I mentioned all wanted in we would make room. If not probably only 3 spots left, but I don't think that will be a factor as we will land probably 3/4 of the 5.

Gosh, he looks like Poz when he plays. He can sure tackle. I think he should consider playing at linebacker

I may end up being really pissed off when JF starts chasing kids away. At this point it's the only way he can make this work.

After a few years his 3.5 year graduation plan will be fine but the kids that were here before he arrived didn't know they were to graduate in 3.5 years.

It should work out this year that the kids not using all of their eligibility are rs jrs who would have been entering their 5th year.

Love waking up to great news!!! Best of luck to him in continuing his education and smashing people on the football field!!

Rivals consistently moves kids down after they commit. Pryts is the 20th best safety in the country by ALL accounts, unless you count Rivals, who somehow has him at 46th.

That's like ranking Arizona or Boise State or Wisconsin in your top 20 in two polls, but in the AP, they are not even in the "also getting votes catagory".....basically a joke.

Scout has him as the #1 safety in the east and 7th nationally and he is a 4 star.

Pryts rhymes with "hits." At least that is how the name was pronounced when his father played at PSU.
