8:00 PM WE ARE BETTER!!!

He's a great commit. He's a legacy and has a great offers list. Welcome and have a great Penn State career!

I'm really excited about the Pryts commit. Not a guy that I'd say is an athletic freak. But after viewing his film, I'd say he's fundamentally freaky for a high school player. Outstanding form tackles, aggressive and finds the ball. Something you might say of a LB but he makes it look easy as a DB. Solid future.

Congratulations to Andrew! I'm sure this is a dream come true for him and his family. Very happy for them and obviously for Penn State football because he is quite the talent.

I strongly suspect that he was always a PSU lock in the process and the whole dad upset about Joepa thing was a smokescreen. I mean, it really made no sense whatsoever to be upset at how the BoT losers treated Joe and react by further hurting the program that Joe put his life into and that he himself contributed to and by which he was at least partially molded. I'm guessing that the family simply saw the recruitment of Andrew (who by the way, every major D1 powerhouse wanted) as an opportunity to voice their displeasure of the BOT. Not exactly how I would have done it but it's their prerogative and eventually Andrew had his well deserved moment.

The other possibility, since it was rumored that O$U was the leader, was that LJ or Urby were playing negative tactics with them. Somehow convincing the family that they were hurt by what Penn State did to Joe and sympathized with the family. Now how that was twisted to say go to the anti-PSU, I don't know. But it is a plausible scenario that would explain this recruitment.

Back to Andrew. I think he is a sure fire OLB. He is going to gain mass and hopefully keep that safety speed. His tackling is exceptional and I think his best shot at the league is with some good added mass at LB. I think this also fits Coach Franklin's goals for positional speed. Plus we have a gap in LB recruiting that he can fill and an abundance of DBs in the pipeline. It almost makes too much sense to me.

I hope Andrew Pryts hits like Andrew Pitz. I am referring to books, of course. Pitz was a two time Academic All-American.

Gosh, he looks like Poz when he plays. He can sure tackle. I think he should consider playing at linebacker

Wow! I hope this is true. I remember being so impressed by Poz' high school film I couldn't wait for him to get on campus. He took the best lines to the ball carrier, like he was shot out of a cannon. If Pryts is even CLOSE to where Poz was coming out of HS then he's a gem.

@BSDtweet: Four-star safety Andrew Pryts has committed to Penn State, per his Twitter account. Welcome to the family, @Bpryts30![/QUOTE

We might also say to this son of a Paterno-raised player, wise choice to remain a part of the family....
