Kharchla probably got a little overhyped because he dominated Mekhi in an exhibition free match. Still, him beating Marinelli last year in a dual (only guy besides Cenzo to ever do that) and AAing shows he’s legit. Probably some major room familiarity going on here.
That being said, what’s going on in Columbus!?
Not amusing but Feldman’s 10-3 win over some dude named Misita - and injuring his shoulder in the process - is not great. Orndorff pinned Misita. Did anyone see either match?
I wonder if Ryan has considered that Life Alert is an NIL match made in heaven for the Bucknuts? Could be a big assist in the drive for another recruiting national championship.
Yes - Feldman hurt his shoulder early, while trading collar ties / snaps. I dont know if new injury or old. He finished the match tho. It was low scoring till the 3rd when he did his usual throw by/low single things.
Misita is a PA guy IIRC. Wasnt he a state champ? Or was it NJ?
As per Kharchla - Hepner.
Not sure if you guys are familiar with Hepner, but he is a St Eds product. Very good scrambler, good rider, and a good cradler. Doesnt really have a good offensive attach tho, and relies on scrambling and opponents fear of being cradled, to win matches.
Carson was in very deep 3 times, and did not finish. Part of it is Hepner is very long (and Carson is very short) and Hepner is very good in single leg defense. But, was also a bit circumstantial. At one point Carson was rewarded a TD, and the refs let it go for ~30 secs, then called stalemate and reversed the takedown since Hepner had Carson's arm pinched between his legs. If the refs never called the TD, Carson could have worked to free his arm. They then put them back in neutral and put those seconds back on the clock.
Honestly, Hepner did not move forward, in neutral, the whole match. He'd make a good Cornell wrestler.
It was 1-1 going into third (Carson's point was from 2 stall calls on Hepner). Carson chose down, which I was a bit surprised, as Hepner is good on top. Bryce had a good ride and got to a lot of stalemate positions. At one point Carson was just about to get a reversal and the refs blew it dead for potentially dangerous.
But more importantly I heard that Kharchla added a hundred pounds to his dead lift over the summer while working with Bo Jordan.
You guys continue to act like clowns making fun of college wrestlers at Ohio State and their coach most of the time.

I totally agree. Ragging on wrestlers is totally unnecessary- especially when Tom Ryan is such an easy target ;-)
There’s message board-level banter and there’s true, deeper-level thoughts. I’ve never seen anybody disagree here when a poster (sometimes it’s me) steps back and say the Nuts are second to none in the way they carry themselves around the mat. And I’m pretty sure none of us is delusional in thinking we can beat a current, equal-sized Nut on the mat (unless we start on top).
The Inside Trip podcast, hosted by a couple of Ohio State wrestling fans, makes fun of Ohio State wrestlers difficultly in the bottom position.
Making fun of wrestling related topics (losing matches, deadlifting, recruiting national championships, ect) on a wrestling message board does not seem clownish. Complaining about people on a wrestling message board making wrestling related jokes does tho.
I guess you don’t read Bucknuts (247 OHio State). They’re still riding the Sandusky Train - even on the wrestling board.

Not sure I get your post. Working backwards from, and including 2022, Ohio State has finished; 13, 9, -, 2, 2, 2, 3, 1, 6, 6, 5, 29, 8, 2, 2, 10 going back to 2007. That's an admirable run and I see it as the third best overall in the past 16 years after Penn State and Iowa. 8 top-5 finishes and 13 top-10 finishes in those years. I feel they've been a worthy adversary, as has Iowa...and that doesn't happen without developing talent.
But Marinelli was overhyped for sure:
1.) Was Kryptonite for Cenzo's inside trip.
2.) Lost a friend in a car accident.
3.) Wife was eye candy for broadcast booth (I'm hoping the obligatory shots of her are over).
Let us win at football and we will be nicer. Dunkej01 excluded.
