no, not a player, the PSU beat writer. IMHO, the best beat writer I've ever read. Sad to see him leave PSU but happy his career is moving forward:

Tomorrow will be my last day covering #PennState. I've taken a new job on an NFL beat, the details of which will be shared soon. Ecstatic as I am, the past 22 months have undoubtedly been the best and most fortunate of my life — a complete credit to those...

Good for Andrew but damn, I really liked his columns and his breakdowns on the offense were the best I've seen and read from a non coach. The podcast he did with Fitz was also very good.
Good luck Andrew you will be missed.

It really, really, really sucks to see Callahan leaving the beat. He’s an incredible talent, and his ceiling of what he can become as a football writer is enormous.

That said, could this open up an opportunity for Tyler Donohue at 247?

I guess the ones with actual talent move on. Instead we get
the other ass holes that cover the PSU beat....looking at you Davey Jones, Cory Geiger, Bob Flounders...

First piece of Bad News is that Andrew is leaving the PSU Beat, second piece of bad news is that New England fans will get very comprehensible explanations around the greatness of Brady, of the greatness of the New England Offense, and the overall genius of Coach Bill Belichick.

And now I can tell you: I will be the next lead New England Patriots beat reporter for @masslivenews. It's a homecoming of sorts for me, so this is a special move. My best is yet to come. See you on Sundays.
Interesting. Just read the announcement this morning that Andrew's predecessor at masslivenews (Kevin Duffy) was moving to the Boston Herald. It didn't occur to me that it might impact the best of our Penn State coverage. I will look forward to following his Patriots coverage.

I suspect that Andrew's career path trends upward and someday he will be on live TV on Sundays (and Thursdays, Saturdays in December, and Mondays).

Good things happen to good people.

Did not care for his political tweets . Wish spots writers would stick to sports but it's their prerogative . Many lose readers/ followers though.

I wish those who wish to use their personal accounts for both pleasure and business would just have two separate accounts.

LOL, I don't like any tweets political or otherwise. I don't even bother with player and recruit tweets. I don't have the time, inclination or rosetta stone to decipher them. :D
