anyone have any updates on his progress?

found this post on Instagram from 4 days ago: (sounds good)

ant_thechamp_cassar"Look good, feel good, wrestle good." You can only cage a beast for so long. His escape is slowly approaching, and he's coming for blood.

Time will tell, though love the confidence. Too much posted on this forum about him being ready, long before he really was. Wish him the best, all aspects of being a student-athlete, it will be a good thing to have a healthy Cassar in the room...regardless of how this plays out.

To be honest, the posts about Cassar being ready were from one person who likes to type nonsense all the while ignoring the simple fact that Cassar was tossing t-shirts underhanded into the stands.

Hopefully he is ready for the season, adds another quality wrestler to the room to push everybody to get better. Anything beyond that is up to Cael to decide. No matter what, 197 will be manned by a quality wrestler with a chance to stand on the podium.

Nonsense? The guy is not right just sometimes.

Setup too good to resist ...

Maybe, but others believed it...trust, wishful thinking, whatever the reason. I get discussing things, even when it's somewhat outrageous, but stating something as factual when it's not isn't being responsible.

People get hopeful and believe what they want to hear. I think everybody has learned to take that poster's posts with a grain of salt.

There is a certain bald fellow who can coach a little and knows a thing or two about what's going in the room who said on his radio show in mid-December that Cassar was "fighting back and should be cleared soon. He's been training hard every day." On media day in mid-January, the same guy said Cassar was "going full for the most part with some caution. Full-speed with caution, so that's something that'll play out over the next couple weeks."

If Cassar's return is so iffy that we should be just hoping for the best and wishing him good luck with his academics, I'm not sure we can blame the internet or the message boards for the hype.

What does "going full for the most part with some caution" even mean? He goes hard for 15 sec and then stops?

I'd say Cael was engaging in some patently obvious coachspeak, except we established here a few months ago that he doesn't do that.

Coachspeak? You mean like when he said of Suriano's ankle: " 'Tis but a scratch" and "Just a flesh wound" ? ;)

Cassar will be wrestling 197 this year if he stays as healthy as he is right now....

Well, that last one was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. It was kind of funny for a while, but I just had to hit the big I button.

Any speculation on how Cassar is doing against the Raptor? I hear that V Rap IS ALREADY BEATING SPYKER IN THE ROOM.

He was drilling in the room with McIntosh in November. I don't think it was that unrealistic. Cutch was just good enough that the decision was to leave the possibility of a 6th year.

A person has to have mental issues to continually post baseless assertions as fact.
Lol...Simple statement he will be wrestling 197...Lmao...Yes he will wrestle off with Matt Mc....Now maybe you know why Matt was having 2nd thoughts of coming back....We will see....

Or maybe he enjoys all the controversy it stirs up and all the attention he gets from it. He seemed to enjoy his couple of minutes of fame from Flo, even though they were laughing at him. After all the negative attention, he just keeps putting crazy stuff out there. Maybe we're just all enablers :)

I recall 21 guns getting a Flo beatdown but missed them chucking insults at spyker. You wouldn't happen to know which episode would you?

Flo insults....Lol. Oh well as long as they or anyone else is talking i am saving the others in the world...That is fine by me and the good Lord above....Love all my Den brothers....

Ya'll hate on spyker too much. I mean, he's borderline delusional, but that's no reason for us to send him off to the funny farm.
He's like, our forum's Robin Ficker, or whatever that Maryland dude's name is. I love that guy.

He isn't even wrestling live yet lmao.

He isn't even cleared to wrestle live... hence why he is not allowed to wrestle in freestyle tournaments yet.
