Anyone go thru airport security without drivers license?

Uh, I wouldn't count on it... TSA search of triple amputee veteran

Post-Script: apparently, the guy in the video, Brian Kolfage, is in some hot water these days for a GoFundMe page he created to raise money to build a section of wall on the Mexico border. Sounds like it raised millions of dollars and now people are asking "where's the wall?" and he's gone silent. Not sure why you would think it's a good idea to donate money to the building of an approximately 3/4-mile long fence along a 2,000-mile border, but you do you! Anyway, the guy may or may not be a fraudster, but doesn't change the fact that TSA is kind of a fraud itself!!
Because there is a certain group of people who enjoy being duped.

JMO but the reason I ask here first is I like to hear the "real life" experiences in similar situations.
Then I google.
Besides there was a link in the 2nd response.
EXACTLY!!! In fact, the TSA guy I had didn't even know! He had to ask the agent working the line like 4 yds to his right. Two things were different than normal. Belongings were put in a red bin vs grey and a pat down. At most it took an extra two minutes. Some folks requested an update to this so I'll give a heads up and hope I don't get scolded for double threading. All have a great day!

Glad it worked out for you.
I still question the "Library Card" though. ;)

Whatever.
Besides maybe they did both. You don't know.

Compelling response
Simple reading comprehension makes it clear he didn't. The questions asked were answered in the TSA policy. They didn't build off the policy and ask for any experiences based on them. But you're absolutely, right. I don't know so, whatever.

Looks like it worked out for him and the info given out on the board was correct.
Also looks like the TSA agents may not be as informed as the TSA online Policy.
Was that compelling enough?

Lot of "experts" on this board....
Here is the TSA link with the requirements, including what to do if you lose your ID.
https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/identification
It does not list a VA ID, but I think it might work or at least help. Bottom line, get to the airport plenty early. You'll likely be okay, but will have to go through additional screening. If there is someone back home that can send you a picture of a passport or other complaint ID, it would probably be a good idea as well.

No offense to the OP, but for the life of me, I cannot understand why this is the first place people come to ask questions that are easily findable online. Google is your friend.
Welllllll, actually what did happen was not what the (your) official sites stated. Thus, perhaps some other BWI member shall ask the same question some time and find the answer here!

So what did you use for an ID?

Glad it worked out. I still don't get coming here for something official when you have no way of knowing if it's valid or will apply. TSA doesn't apply policy consistently between lines at the same airport, let alone at different airports. IMHO, if I'm trying to make it out of a airport and get home, I'd want to understand the actual policy so I could ensure I'd get on the plane. I fly regularly. The disparity of standards and application of policy across TSA is astounding and I'm not trusting the experience someone else describes on a message board.

Gotcha. Sometimes they hyperlinks don't show for me.¯\_(ツ)_/¯
When they switched to the new board format links don't automatically format to show that they are links. I usually manually make them a different color or something so it's more obvious. That is one of the weird nuances of the board software along with (gasp!) thread/topic view.

You mean the link from a newspaper that isn't accurate?

Look, I get asking on non-official things like how to get rid of a curry smell in a condo. No marketing info online can replace the real world experience of someone who has faced it, but on something like this, there is a clear, published policy and it's clear the OP didn't look there first before soliciting the musings and smart ass replies of Mo, Larry, and Curly here on BWI.
My question was: "
Anyone go thru airport security without drivers license?" I did not ask for any "official" advice or such!

Please learn to spell my name correctly. M-O-E.

I travel a lot, and didn't know you could travel without ID until recently. I was in line a few spots behind a very attractive young European girl who had apparently forgotten to pack her bra. I heard her say she had no ID. There was a lot of discussion and she disapeared with security. I went about my business, and short time later at my gate, saw her again. Not sure how I remembered her, something about her just stood out.
