by James Benjamin (Buffalo), 7-5 SV.

I believe I stated in the past week that Cox, Pfarr, and possibly Harner would be favored to defeat Cutch. I really thought Harner was in the top 4 at 197. Did not see him getting beaten this early in the season.

Also some interesting scores in the Cornell - Rutgers match.

- Mark Grey (Cornell) over Tyson Dippery (Rut), 6-4
- Anthony Asnault (Rut) over Will Koll (Cornell), 6-4
- Brian Realbuto (Cornell) over Phillip Bakuckas (Rut), 4-2

Also of note, App St, who many of us saw at the Keystone Classic, defeated UNC in a match, 18-16.

Even with a rather small slate due to the holidays, it appears there have been a few upsets, as well as some matches that were a lot closer than most would have anticipated.

So nice to be chatting about actual matches. ;)

Gravina was tied with Dean 3-3 in the 3rd! But that's a bit misleading. Gravina only had 2 escapes and penalty. Dean did all the shooting and eventually ended up winning 16-3!

Gravina made some attempts but nothing like what Dean did. Grey also won 14-13 against Vespa from Hofstra

Harner doesn't impress when you think title contention...AA, yes so I'm not blown away by the Benjamin win...
