Just read the article from the Michigan Daily....not really sure this was a compliment:

The Nittany Lions subsequently rattled off seven straight victories, five coming from Penn State’s glorified former national champions: Zain Retherford, Jason Nolf, Vincenzo Joseph, Mark Hall and Bo Nickal.

Just read the article from the Michigan Daily....not really sure this was a compliment:

Wow. I never knew that "glorified former" was a substitute for "reigning" or "defending."

There was a nice quote from Pantaleo:

“People can say [choosing bottom] was a bad decision all they want[,] but from last year I have made big strides getting up from bottom,” Pantaleo said. “I have yet to have anybody ride me out until now. I was really confident, I chose bottom, figured I was gonna get a point. Obviously, I still need to work on it, which is good to know now rather than later.”

That is so awesome. Pantaleo's always been one of those wrestlers who clearly pays attention to public things written about him, so the start of that quote really fits him, but I loved how he finished it. Straight soothe!

And for whatever wrestling fans think of him or his public style, that dude most definitely continues to improve! I gotta believe his Win 3 straight, lose 3 straight at Natty's days are long gone. Can't wait to see that weight play out behind Nolf going forward.

It would be great to meet you, jtothemfp! Unfortunately for that goal, I live in Northern California and have never travelled to see wrestling. I did see PSU beat Stanford at Stanford recently, which was awesome! One of these years, I’ll go to the NCAAs. Even if I have to wait until the kids are all in college (in 9 years). I love the great guys on this list such as you!
