Awesome cover songs, post it and, Make my Day !

Can't post the best cover I've ever heard, unfortunately. It was at the Phyrst, on St Pat's Day many many moons ago. One guy on acoustic guitar, the other sang and played flute. Did a tremendous version of Locomotive Breath. Wish I had a recording of it.

Godz - Candy’s Gone Bad (from the Golden Earing album Moontan)

Judas Priest - Green Manalishi (Fleetwood Mac original artist)

Cake - War Pigs (from Black Sabbath’s Paranoid album)

Santana - Black Magic Woman (another Fleetwood Mac song)

Anyone ever catch Witness? They played a lot in Diamond Brach N.J. at The Playpen. They were a great Tull cover band.

My Back Pages by the Bryds, covering Dylan, who covered the Byrds, or something like that.
"Ah but I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now."

Dylan song covered by the Byrds. This one came to my mind too. The version at Dylan's 30th anniversay with Clapton, Petty, Neil Young, George Harrison and more is fantastic.

Great rocking cover of a poppy little song. Really gives the song some previously missing grit and desperation.

Lemmy does Sympathy for the Devil . Sound track over an Eastwood video clip. :))
You guys really nailed it with most of the posts above. Killer thread.

It’s a boring video but, I never heard sade’s “By your side” the same again after hearing it in Sean rowe’s baritone.

Dread Zeppelin - Whole Lotta Love...

Not every day you get to see a reggae band with an Elvis impersonator lead singer cover one of the all time best rock anthems.
