Two questions. I know many Penn Staters are in Section 115, and dipping my toe in the HR cesspool indicates Iowa in 108... Does anyone know of any other school's sections? Are any of you in sections other than 115?

These were the original sections. Bits and pieces of other sections, from less-well-attended schools, was given to PSU fans when 115 was full.

Michigan State - section 104
Rutgers - section 104
Wisconsin - section 105
Michigan - section 107
Nebraska - section 107
Iowa - section 108
Northwestern - section 114
Ohio State - section 114
Penn State - section 115
Purdue - section 115
Illinois - section 117
Indiana - section 118
Maryland - section 118

Appears as though Minnesota didn't give their fans a section. Jammenz will be bummed ;)

Middle sections, 106 and 116, both sides of the arena. Season ticket holders get best seats, then General Public (Minnesota fans) :):).

If he's there, I expect a Ficker-like display from Mr. Jammenz, bouncing back and forth between Minnesota and Nebraska sections.

Personally, the best I can hope for is a setup like this one (and lots of our guys in the finals!)...

Where are you sitting CC? I got mine through Gopher athletics. Section 102.
Like you, I pounced on the Gopher site right at 10:00 on the public sale date. I didn't have PSU code, so I took best available; we're in section 101, neighbor. :)

Didn’t want to start a new thread for just this question. Remind me how many mats for first 2 sessions? I think it is 4 but I remember there being more when I attended Bigs a couple years ago. Thanks in advance.

Yes, four.

NOTE: with the big BLIZZARD headed into the Twin Cities late Saturday night and thru Sunday I wouldn't worry too much about seats. Unless you want to sit with fellow PSU people I would think that you could easily snatch up better seats (non bleacher) with all the empty seats (at least I predict).

I'm already telling the office that I may not be back for work Monday.

Generally, snow handling in Central PA isn't too bad. PennDOT and the local municipalities do a pretty good job. However, when it snows hard, or for extended periods, the mountains can close (Seven Mountains, Pine Grove Mills Mountain, even Cresson Mountain heading west), and the Governor can say "stay off of my roads", and declare various stages of emergency.

My question is, given the amount of snowfall expected in the Twin-City area, what is the chances that Sunday evening flights will go as scheduled? Looking for some local (Minneapolis - St. Paul) expertise.

I would say positive for Sunday night. The big dump is for Saturday so they should be able to clear things up. I have heard that MSP has more than one plow.

"The big dump"?? :)

THANKS for the response...was hoping for you and/or ccdiver.

Just on a side note, Roar: I spent the first 21 years in PA. We had some monster snows. We would joke about it being a blizzard. I never knew what a blizzard really was until I moved to Nebraska and Iowa. I then knew what a "whiteout" that lasted hours meant and how dangerous these blizzards can be. Safe travels Roar.

The problem with the forecast is the wind. They are well equipped to handle the snow here, but if the winds are 20-30 mph and gusting higher as they are calling for, MnDOT will pull their plows off of the roads. Your flights may or may not be impacted. On the one hand, this isn't anything new to Minnesota. On the other hand, I have had three business flights and one personal trip derailed by MSP airport delays and shutdowns this year. That IS unusual.
