Oh, there's more to it than that. Trust me. I just think he's the fore bearer of all that I loathe about that program, which has continued through the years.

Just realized that bloodround.com has a pic on their site that shows the same heated exchange as the OP pic. It appears to show Brands arriving a little late to the party. Kinda undercuts Brands’ claim in the article cited by @danoftw above that he led the charge.
