Bad actor at NHSCA sophomore division

What a loser.

He WAS the 2nd seed and was winning 6-1 when he got DQ'd. .....unlike Desanto who was getting crushed and didn't get DQ'd. Must have been late for his Call of Duty foursome....or some serious lack of functioning brain matter.

Trying to intentionally break an arm of something? I was watching the DeSanto/Micic match side by side with the other match, but I was focusing on the other match, so I never even saw that.

Here is the vid from the time that DeSanto's frustration really starts to show.

Seriously, WTF was that? In control on top, winning and just slams the dudes head and then runs around the back to sucker punch.

Here's a FLO interview of the kid? Freshman state champ from Ohio.

Don't know the whole story, but can't imagine colleges are going to like this.

Could DiSanto face any NCAA repercussions going into next year from this?

Agree with royboy. No official repercussions, but he will be scrutinized. I think the ref was a bit lenient with him. He was properly penalized for the mini-roundhouse and headgear grab and rip off the head. The final sequence that ended with the attempt at the submission via kimura was really bad and clearly a case of intent to injure. How in the world though did the ref ignore the shove that DeSanto gave him. He definitely should have been disqualified from the tournament after that shove to the ref.

No, what happened was dealt with during the bout, though as others have said, maybe more penalty-wise could have been done.

It appears the young man has some work to do controlling emotions...with lots of time to get help or be a bit introspective and work on it himself.

There's some other things going on here, from what I observed. It appears the relationship between coach and wrestler needs work too, and there may be other relationships that are not-so-good too.

I am not a Flo subscriber, can anyone explain what happens?
With short time, Lagoa is up 6-1. He throws a couple of hard cross faces, as time runs out, then, after time goes out, he gives a hard shove to the back of the head of Habell. Habell takes exception, but is still under Lagoa, who throws a punch. Coaches come running in and separate them, but Lagoa gets loose, and appears to throw another punch. DQ for flagrant misconduct.
