Saw this in the Sunday Patriot. The editorial board of the Patriot-News is doing a sit down interview with Barron on Monday. They have requested questions readers would like to ask him. Contact John L. Micek at jmicek@pennlive.com or tweet @byjohnlmicek.

Here's your chance. I'm sure they'll have a filter on what they'll ask, but you never can tell.

Allowed question: Dr. Barron, please explain how you have been able to stay focused and lead the university to greatness in spite of meddling alumni who seek to undermine the university's progress?

Disallowed question: Dr. Barron, why do you refuse to engage alumni who continue to feel ostracized and who feel that a priority is to uncover the entire truth related to the Jerry Sandusky scandal?

Simpsons did it.

Lisa, do you have a question for Uncle Eric?

Yes sir. A very inane one.
Your presidency is moving like a runaway freight train. Why are you so popular?

They are choosing questions. They are choosing the venue. They will thus control the message.

The good news is, they feel obligated to keep doing these things. They are doing them for a reason, and the reason is that they are still feeling the heat.

Very true. Didn't Barron just do an interview with pennlive/ patriot news like a week or two ago? They asked for questions then too and when they asked him about Sandusky or the alumni representatives issues- he just said he didn't want to talk about that. Now here is doing another interview with them a few weeks later? That's odd.

Of course, like you said it is not an open format. My guess is barron will briefly give this a try and will stop when he sees the anger from alumni (it will come through even in the controlled setting). erickson did a few town halls in January 2012 and then practically stopped meeting with alumni after seeing their disgust.
