The minimum standard for a successful season at BC is 6 wins. Nice gig with no pressure. Exponentially more pressure at OSU as an OC. Would love to see some more life in northeastern football. Maybe Bill can help the cause.

We’ll, this far less talent comes far less expectations. Could stick around several years with mediocre teams and not get heat.

That logic does not fit with Obrien. It is not about the program meeting the fans expectations. It is about the program, fans, alumni meeting Obrien's expectations. Obrien will be the one complaining.

Obrien is a miserable SOB. He is miserable wherever he is coaching. By the end of the year he will be trying to push the AD out the door.

100% the life of a coach. Those guys are the exception not the norm.
See Chip Kelly leaving UCLA to be a coordinator.
Coaches and they're families understand moves are expected.
Saban moved plenty as did Belichick prior to those stops
