Ben Davino to Ohio State

Is he a 125 for at least his first couple years ? 133 and 141 seems to be tied up with Bouzakis and Mendez for the next few years

I knew we weren't trending for him anymore but thought it was Wisconsin if anything, they continue to whiff on AWA kids

Wonder how much impact it has that Askren flat out hates Bono and doesn’t try to hide it.

I don’t think he outright tells kids not to go there. But I also don’t think he can hide disdain of Bono when kids talk to him about schools.

Is Davino an AWA kid? He’s from Illinois and has a different club listed on his U17 trials registration

That’s a fantastic get, but I never thought Davino was a career 125. Maybe I’m wrong. Or maybe Mendez doesn’t ever redshirt and Davino just goes 125 x 2 and then 133. Or even Davino redshirts then just has 1 year at 125,

Buckeyes sure are recruiting insanely well. Should be some great battles in the future.

Between the Bucks, Hawks and Big Red for "Best Second Place" Team titles.
The Hawks and Cornell had a pretty good battle this year. Kind of like a couple years ago between Penn State and Iowa, the Hawks prevailed in the team race claiming their first second to Penn State and Cornell crowned the champions.

Like a broken record.

No fear here, I just think OSU has one heck of a class coming in. Love who we have coming in and the way Cael staggers his classes.

Hopefully we announce Lilledahl this week and their announcement will be forgotten. That sucks for Kilkreary. He looks to be the odd man out now. He isn’t beating Davino, Mendez or Bouzakis

Yikes, Davino, Bouzakis, Mendez...

We might start every dual vs tOSU for the next 3 years down 18-0

Comments?

How is Mendez pinning BB?

Davino and Davis also have wrestled before, Davino won 4-3. No denying he is the better prospect but I am curious how that translates to pinning Davis.
GOOGLES is twelve steps ahead of you guys as usual:

125 - Howard injury defaults to true Frosh Davino in the 3rd leading 15-4 ending his 4th straight season early. 0-6 tOSU
133 - Two years of the hard cut to 133 finally takes its toll on BB who misses weight. Bouzakis receives a FF 0-12 tOST
141 - Mendez and David Evans go into SV tied 1-1. Rivera with the rare quick defensive touchfall call and raises Mendez' hand quickly. 0-18 tOSU

I don't see it playing out any other way.
oh where did i go wrong carol burnett GIF

tOSU honestly has the most interesting lineup situation going into next year IMO
125: Kilkeary is probably the favorite but I could see Gonzales or McCrone getting the gig
133: Mendez vs Bouzakis? My expectation is Mendez RS and Bouzakis is the starter
141 D'emilio is the favorite, but if they do a lineup bump he could move up or get squeezed out (by Mendez)
149: Sasso returns as the favorite at 49 unless he chooses to bump up
157:Gallagher most likely, unless something weird happens with Hepner or Sasso bumps
165:This is where it gets really weird again, I think most likely outcome is Hepner 65 and Kharcala moves up to 74 but TBD
174: Kharcala if he moves up, if not I would assume Welsh is the guy
184: Probably Shumate but there are tons of possibilities, including Welsh as a 184
197:Hoffman
285:Feldman
This is genuinely a very solid team, where every weight other than 125, 184 and probably 157 are AA contenders.
For 2025 I would assume it will be Davino or Kilkeary at 25, Bouzakis at 33, Mendez 41, D'EMilio 49 and then the lineup holds other than 197 if Welsh goes as a true frosh, if not someone gets bumped out/ someone moves up to 197
