This wasn't the typical troll stuff. It was a substantative debate about the merits of red shirting. An Iowa guy contended that Brands had to prove that he would let a true freshman, an elite guy wrestle...like other programs have done. For example, if Marinelli kicks ass in the room etc. 21 Guns was pretty emphatic against it saying this:

As for the troll stuff, we have two or three guys that use he who shall not be named as a way to get at PSU guys...those posts are often refuted by our guys. I don't like it because it has nothing to do with wrestling. Mainly, it's PSU fans inserting themselves on every thread it seems now...almost like that Carly Simon song. Many of you don't but if you look at sheer posting numbers and the amount of regulars on both boards, your trolls far outnumber ours, especially since you can only name one that is kind of trollish over here on a regular basis...WildTurk. Even he has said nice stuff about your guys.
As for "getting control", I'm a firm believer in individual freedom, saying my piece, and moving right along. I think another reason folks like HR is specifically because folks can get after it over there. As soon as we start choosing what is "offensive" and what causes hurt feelings, we are doomed. One only needs to look at the current generation of snowflakes that is our youth. Like Jefe says, ignore button is your friend.
But yea, calling the Hawkeye team that was featured on The Season a bunch of trashy sociopaths is kind of a bitch thing to say but if Mocco were reading it, he'd probably laugh his ass off.

I don't disagree with you Cheif. You hit it down the middle and are knowledgable. But as 1985 stated I think it would help if the troublemakers on both sides were clipped.
Chief and other HR posters had an intervention with 86_90 a while back and it seemed to work for a while. I guess he fell off the wagon.

After watching PSU home matchs and following the SS and Nationals on the net and TV, my conclusions are as follows. Note, I don't read any wrestling board other tha this one.
Iowa, Okie State and Cornell are tops....along with PSU. Minny and tOSU are next, but there is a gap. VoTech is moving in the right direction....you could here them at nationals as their guys made nice runs through the consis.
I was surprised to watch NCst and Mizzu on the net and there appeared to be almost nobody in the garage the call a facility. Maybe the camera angle was bad. Nebraska fans need to catch up to their talent.
My two cents.

Who are you again? I feel like those that really pay attention on this board would say I have been pretty mellow this wrestling season. I'm not going to search back and prove you wrong but I'm positive I have said several things without hatred towards Penn State. Because guess what? I don't hate PSU at all. I enjoy the rivalry very much. I respect both elite programs and what they have done to promote the sport. What's not to like? 21guns you seem so angry when you write out your thoughts. Relax man..
