Best Holiday Movie Ever?

A Christmas Carol. I am partial to the version starring George C. Scott as Ebenezer Scrooge, but I like all of them. It is a very life affirming story.
I like the Alistair Simm version best, but all of them have a particular scene or two that make them special.

I already voted, but if we are including Christmas Specials in the thread then i'm going to vote for Garfield Christmas Special. My favorite.

I'll also mention a 2nd movie that i can't believe is missing - The Santa Clause w/ Tim Allen.

Not that it affects me but, watching a holiday movie with young children is getting tougher and tougher, have to throw those F- bombs in there. I'm not a prude either, but the under 12 crowd eeh.

It's a Wonderful Life should never have been released. At the time of release there was a code in place where movies should not show that crime pays. But in the movie Old Man Potter takes money from Uncle Billy by accident and even when he discovers the money does not turn it over or tell the police. Therefore Old Man Potter get away with a crime, a violation of the code.

I think it's Christmas Story and Christmas Vacation; both capture the excitement and chaos during the run up to Christmas that other Christmas movies don't have. I'd add Planes, Trains, and Automobiles is definitely the best Thanksgiving movie ever.

Some greats listed here...still, It’s A Wonderful Life holds the softest spot in my heart.
Agree and not even close for me. Made the kids watch it with us when they were young. Got away from it for some years. Now, in their 20’s and 30’s, they ask to watch it again.
