Interesting stat made by an announcer during the game. This senior class over the past 4 years have won 41 games thus far. The best stretch since 1993-96.

Record 41-11 with a chance for 42.
1 Big 10 championship
2 NY 6 bowls with chance for a 3rd
1-2 bowl record
2 top 10 rankings with a chance for a 3rd

2-0 against WI
2-2 against UM, MSU
1-3 against OSU, but two close losses in which PSU blew leads

B10 rank over four years: 3rd behind OSU and WI

And still, some on here call for Franklin to be fired or want him to take another job or are critical of the staff. Not sure what would satisfy you peeps, but PSU is close to making the final 4. Even Franklin would agree that the program still has a ways to go, but not a bad run coming off sanctions. Would have to think that the program is ahead of schedule or at the very least on schedule.

Where, when, how and why did some of you get this stupid notion that football fans are not allowed to be critical of a staff?

All coaches make mistakes and we can focus on the minutia. Sure, we can be critical of plays during a game. It is a message board. But big picture, things look great. Yet, there are threads this year on wanting Rhule. Brohm last year. Fire Rahne, Smith, Pry, others. Have they been perfect, no. But being critical without acknowledging how far this program has come is what I am talking about. It seems to me that some are overly critical and have made it personal. Enjoy the ride and where the program is and is going.

Nobody said you’re not allowed to be critical - just like others are allowed to explain why it’s dumb to do so.

People have always bee critical of the staffs. The difference now is the message boards, and the rest of social media. The extreme idiots now have a platform that reaches out to the entire world. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but not all opinions are equal or matter. The way things are now, Joe jack wagon on twitter or a message board now thinks he's the voice of a fan base and unfortunately is sometimes taken seriously.

Those folks that are the most critical seem to be the loudest on social media. They are more passionate about complaining, bitching, and whining than those who are complacent and accepting of the status quo. You can’t reason with them so why bother arguing and debating.
