Big Ben's last game at Heinz Field Monday night?

Ben can no longer carry a team without a good supporting cast of players around him and this team is far from providing him with a good supporting cast. Thus, I believe it is a good decision for Ben to retire. However, I am still very sad to see a great career coming to an end. It is not going to be nearly as fun following the Steelers without a HOF QB.

I’m almost positive he‘s gone after this year, he probably stayed a couple years too long.

The only real chance of him playing again at Heinz are the Steelers beating Cleveland and winning at Baltimore, while the Bengals lose to KC this week and at Cleveland next week. In that case the Steelers would host a playoff game as division champions. Not likely, but would not at all be surprised to see it go down to the final week.

I agree. However, I have a hard time rooting for him. His alleged rape was unforgivable, even for the parts he admitted to. Second, he has been a trouble maker and the source of a lot of dissension on the Steeler's offense for several years. He has really undermined the coaches on several occasions.

Yes indeed. He has been poison for years. Cut Tomlin off at the knees. Caused lots of problems over the years.

I could get hit by lightning for this but the real problem is at the very top........the Rooneys themselves!

That’s right ....I said it!

He was a good QB but it's past time for him to go. The Steelers have been more than generous by letting him stick around this long. The sooner you move on, the sooner you get to the next good QB, which means you may have to endure 1 or 2 or 3 bad QBs first, but the sooner you start trying the sooner you get to the next good one. Roethlisberger is about average at this point and I'd rather have an average QB that may become a good QB than an average QB that's only going to get worse.

He was more than a good qb. He won two Super Bowls and played in a third. He’s going to the HOF.

He was good in his prime, but they say he was a bit rapey.
Well, charges never were brought, and whatever happened was a lifetime ago. He’s a married man now with a family. Remember that Kobe Bryant also was accused of sexual misconduct and, because of the way that he died, is looked at in a much different light than Ben.

Not sure what Kobe has to do with Ben, but yes, Kobe was also rapey.

A lifetime ago?? I wonder what the alleged victim would say to that.

The alleged victim would say that no charges were brought by the prosecutor. Case closed.
