One only can hope. And I say that acknowledging that he probably is the best qb to ever play for the Steelers, and that includes Bradshaw. He, along with the rest of the organization, including the head coach, has become stale.
Ben can no longer carry a team without a good supporting cast of players around him and this team is far from providing him with a good supporting cast. Thus, I believe it is a good decision for Ben to retire. However, I am still very sad to see a great career coming to an end. It is not going to be nearly as fun following the Steelers without a HOF QB.
I agree. However, I have a hard time rooting for him. His alleged rape was unforgivable, even for the parts he admitted to. Second, he has been a trouble maker and the source of a lot of dissension on the Steeler's offense for several years. He has really undermined the coaches on several occasions.Ben can no longer carry a team without a good supporting cast of players around him and this team is far from providing him with a good supporting cast. he can barely throw the ball 4 yards past line of scrimmage. He is not a west coat offense QB and Steelers not a west coast offense. In the past he could keep play alive and sling the ball down field. No longer,. He def over stayed his expiration deadline
Yes indeed. He has been poison for years. Cut Tomlin off at the knees. Caused lots of problems over the years.I agree. However, I have a hard time rooting for him. He was more than a good qb. He won two Super Bowls and played in a third. He’s going to the HOF.He was a good QB but it's past time for him to go. The Steelers have been more than generous by letting him stick around this long. The sooner you move on, the sooner you get to the next good QB, which means you may have to endure 1 or 2 or 3 bad QBs first, but the sooner you start trying the sooner you get to the next good one. Roethlisberger is about average at this point and I'd rather have an average QB that may become a good QB than an average QB that's only going to get worse.
Well, charges never were brought, and whatever happened was a lifetime ago. He’s a married man now with a family. Remember that Kobe Bryant also was accused of sexual misconduct and, because of the way that he died, is looked at in a much different light than Ben.He was good in his prime, but they say he was a bit rapey.

The alleged victim would say that no charges were brought by the prosecutor. Case closed. Not sure what Kobe has to do with Ben, but yes, Kobe was also rapey.
A lifetime ago?? I wonder what the alleged victim would say to that.
Or would she??The alleged victim would say that no charges were brought by the prosecutor. Case closed.
The victim is probably living in a million dollar home. I don’t doubt a serious settlement was paid. Not sure what Kobe has to do with Ben, but yes, Kobe was also rapey.
