So many great players moved on and of course Barkley was/is all world but biggest loss is Gesicki.

IMO biggest loss Desean Hamilton. Great route runner, sure-handed and would actually block to open up more yards available to a back or receiver near him. Our WR couldn’t block out the sun during an eclipse yesterday

Not sure our offense is the problem.. I think Marcus Allen was our biggest loss

I'm going to say Cabinda. He may not have been the most talented LB, but he did a great job setting up the defense and being in on plays at the point of attack. Nick Scott is filling in nicely for Marcus Allen, Hamler is possibly better than Hamilton, all of the runningbacks look good, and while the TE's weren't as involved in the passing game they were blocking better.

Did we play a TE yesterday?

We did and Holland had a catch but more important the Freshman TE Pat F.
had 2 key blocks that resulted in TD's.
So yes they did play and contribute. Maybe not as much or in the area that we are used to seeing but we knew going into the season that that was going to be the case.

+1. Very disappointed in the WR blocking. Thompkins was MIA in both dept. and completely whiffed on 3 blocks that resulted in no gains for Sanders.

Remember that Stevens was out yesterday. He will bring another wrinkle to the offense. But the biggest difference seemed to be a lack of leadership on defense. There were too many missed assignments, missed tackles, and a lack of pressure on the quarterback. Givens, if reinstated, will help, but I think it all comes down to linebacker play.
