Bishop mccourt going to federal court

Does anyone know if this is being heard at Federal Court in Johnstown or is it Harrisburg? A friend of mine from HS was appointed by Trump to the Johnstown court a couple years back. She did quite well for herself. Lol

And she was a friend of yours? Wow! ;)
Well she was my neighbor so we had to get along. Ha. She was a hell of an athlete too. First person to graduate from school with 12 letters from 3 sports. Her little sister accomplished it a year later.

Edit* Should have said first girl.Pretty sure Jeff Hostetler was 4 year Letterman in Baseball, Football and Basketball.

Is being heard in Johnstown and she is the one that will be deciding the case. Funny thing is, I’m almost certain McCort tried “persuading “ her and her sister to go there back in high school. Lol

I still say there are simple fixes to this.

1. Public vs private team championships. All kids together for individual championship but separate team champs for public and private.

2. AA/AAA classification should not be school enrollment only. It should be a combination of the school districts you pull kids from. If your a private school with 200 kids and your kids come from 6 geographical districts. Your enrollment # would be the sum of those 6 school districts.

Im a Benton guy, #2 is how it works for us. Nw, Benton and Millville have a wrestling CO-Op but the total enrollment for the three schools is still AA. Heading into District Duals they are seeded #1 in D4. Team is having a great year, mostly because they finally have a full line-up with no forfeits. If they win their reward is Faith Christian (McCort light) in the first round of States. Just doesn't seem right.

I don't entirly disagree but think that it's more complicated. You may solve the problem of pushing McCorts and FCs to AAA, but also punish the tiny private schools and larger public schools that don't take advantage of the system if not outright ignore the rules.

It really isn't any more fair for BMcC, FC and to a (slightly) lesser extent NDG and Becca to bring kids in from all over PA and the USA to dominate AAA than it is AA, especially team events. Plus, there's no PIAA division that equates with where McCort has pulled from - TN, GA, NC, IL, not even considering PA districts.

I'm over all of the social media about how a bunch of HS sophomores beating up 12 and 13 year olds equates to the second coming. These guys created "Team USAs" for 3rd graders a few years ago and parents were dumb enough to repeat their 3rd graders to make those teams. Now they are doing it again in MS with kids who should be sophomores. These people should be laughed at but most of the wrestling community idolizes them.

One last note - I read this weekend that Waynesburg and possibly some others were deposed in this case about their own recruiting. If they broke the rules, they (and others) should face the same penalties as BMcC. That said, you never saw posts about the latest transfer "commits" to these other schools with kids in their wrestling singlets. Pigs get fed, hogs get slaughtered.

Appearances are not always as they seem, but Faith Christian wrestling Benton in PIAA AA fuels appears to be typical PIAA bullshit. It is as it appears.

Not defending PIAA. They do a shit job in more ways than I can count. But, it's really as much society's bullshit for lionizing the school systems and daddyballers who promote and allow this. I posted herr about not wanting Suriano back at PSU this year and got blasted - this is similar. Bringing a mercenary who isn't a PSU student to win a championship cheapens it to me. If you disagree, you probably enjoy the NFL, MLB and MLB a lot more than I do. That's fine, but it saddens me that even college is starting to become all about putting together the best pick-up team to win. It's hard for me to take much pride in that as a fan, which is why I almost never watch a pro team sport. NCAA basketball has been that way for years.

Back to PIAA, they make no effort to police this unless someone files a complaint. But, when I was a kid the grown ups would have shunned the people who are pulling this crap and openly acknowledged that they were a bunch of buffoons. We don't have the individual or collective balls to do that anymore.

Before you think I'm implying that I'm better than anyone else, I don't say much because I know that my kids would lose 90% of their training opportunities ( and a lot of wrestling friends) of I did. So, I'm as much a part of the problem as anyone.

They need a private and public league, it’s that simple. Let them schools do their thing. It’s not fair to the homegrown schools. Districts 1’s Faith academy is like mcort on steroids. If they don’t separate the private schools soon they are going to ruin the wrestling championships like they did to football & basketball.
