West2East is an attention seeking whore. He was playing victim on HR today about wanting everyone to use real names, and bashed this board for mistreating him (while he hid behind his real name). Corby? I still don't know who he is, is a joke.
The only reason why Clorby voluntarily left this board is because he got his ass chewed out for standing up for the criminal Ferrari when he was transferring to Iowa and kept insisting AJ was a victim.

Except you did say it's the taxpayer's right to know in post 2625, not "should be":

"If you are paying or arranging to have paid some kid to come to go to place that accepts taxpayer money-it is the taxpayer's RTK."

And that's my point -- it's not, nor will it be anytime soon, regardless of what we wish.

There's a lot of rights that aren't fuilfilled.

Brands is there
DT is there
Is Cael and his entourage going to attend ?

Is anybody else sick of seventeen-year-old drama queens?

I don't fault the kid. I personally think the self-promotion is a bit over the top (and would say that even if I presumed he was set to announce for PSU), but I can't hold it against him. He seems like a good kid, he's well-spoken and he really does seem to be trying to expand the sport and the audience.

What I do think is bad is that adults are throwing buckets of money at high school juniors with absolutely no guarantee of anything. Then the next school feels compelled to try to compete, so they throw money around, at incoming freshman and even at grad students. NIL is bad for amateur athletics. I always agreed with Joe Paterno when he said that these kids ought to get some sort of stipend on top of a scholarship so they could afford a pizza or to take their girl out, but this has gotten ridiculous.

And obviously, I do hope and do expect for Cael and company to continue to beat these programs with mostly their own student-athletes, who are surely also getting NIL money, but not making a farce out of the sport.

It was ridiculous when coaches with pedestrian records started getting high seven-figure salaries.
