That should be a required disclosure; I didn't say it is.
Except you did say it's the taxpayer's right to know in post 2625, not "should be":

"If you are paying or arranging to have paid some kid to come to go to place that accepts taxpayer money-it is the taxpayer's RTK."

And that's my point -- it's not, nor will it be anytime soon, regardless of what we wish.

post 2625!!!!!?????? That's 100 years after the year 2525, and we don't even know if we'll still be alive!

Who exactly is “west2east”?

Thx

No it's not. Taxpayers only have the right to know about direct university expenditures.

Arguably taxpayers have a right to know risk exposure, but this will only ever be at a roll-up level. Risk for loss of athletes' external funding will never be disclosed by any school at the single athlete level.

Taxpayers were not entitled to know how much Joe made for hawking Milano bread either.
I am not sure that is entirely accurate since Joe was a public employee. I know all sources of income and multiple liabilities are reported annually. But some of that information that might be kept internally.

Funny how ‘progress’ means more and more people wishing they could go back to a simpler time.
In other words, for Iowa fans, it means wishing they could go back to a time when they were actually winning national championships year after year. 😈

I didn't read all the new post , but he was on video chat and said the money was not as much as was being reported. He commented the NIL money from the schools were very comparable.
I still say Okie State .
Does he give up his last year to move to his choice. ?
I have to agree it’s going to be OSU based mainly on his statement yesterday something to the effect is starting something new (my take is that he meant DT starting up the OSU program)

I suspect he’ll not only forgo his senior year but will instead re-classify himself as a senior and graduate this spring. That will allow him to enter college as a freshman this fall and wrestle in college next season. A number of HS basketball players did this - Cooper Flagg comes to mind - so they could avoid a potential injury in HS which might delay or derail their college career, and allow them access to NIL money almost immediately. And let’s face it, what more does Bo have to gain by beating up on HS wrestlers?

That was quite a read.

I've twice been at Beaver Stadium when the goalposts got torn down, walked down University Drive to College Avenue, and dumped on the Old Main Lawn. Next time the students should just hire Corby.

Among the best things ever is Corby admonishing people for speculating, getting upset over not getting a recuit, etc. on a message board.

Seems like a lot of fun.

I’ve thought about this and don’t find it very far fetched. It matches up with a big nil and hole in both okie state and iowa lineups.

I have long thought that him and Jax should do that, I understand their family connections to McCourt, but outside of that they are wasting their time wrestling the high school season instead of competing on the college/international scene full time.

141 or 149?

100$ says he sucks down to 141. 149 is Van Ness and Henson. 157 is Kasak and Shapiro.

THIS- and the fact the kid is an 18 yr old High School Junior

If Bo does end up graduating early and going to college next year does anyone think he would move past Blaze or Duke in the recruiting rankings? He is great no doubt but he’s not the number 1 kid in high school. He will do well at the next level but if he goes to Iowa I’m not sure if he ever wins a title. AA level right away but if he’s at 141 he’s not beating Mendez. 149 not beating SVN or Henson. Money obviously talks but it seems shortsighted if he really wants to be an NCAA and Olympic champ. If he ends up at Okie State it’s a totally different story

NEWS FLASH: FLO has just announced that they will have a film crew in New York's Central Park this evening starting at 8:00Pm. They have rented out the countdown clock and the New Years Eve Ball and will time everything to coincide with Bo Bassett's commitment announcement tonight. New York's Mayor has urged people to park outside the city and use Ubers, taxis and public transportation to minimize the traffic congestion expected by this HUGE event. Music will be provided by Huey Lewis and the News

BASSETT ANNOUNCEMENT UPDATE: Scientists are urging attendees to avoid looking directly at the falling ball as the countdown hits zero. These scientists are predicting that the amount of energy released may surpass that of a 10 million volt laser. Viewers should cover exposed skin and wear welder's goggles with a shade rating of at least 11.

In that case I’m guessing Q was NOT present at Taco Bell in the early morning hours!
Nor was he there when an off duty DC police officer working as a bar bouncer made the really poor decision to physically grab Ed and attempt to manhandle him when Ed just wanted to use a phone.

All in all Q seems to have done a pretty good job helping Ed make good decisions. Mrs. Ruth seemed to believe so. She was the one who told me the story.

BASSETT ANNOUNCEMENT UPDATE #2: Psychiatrists and psychologists from around the country will be making themselves available for all the people suffering mental and emotional problems after Bo's announcement. Lots of hoopla over a high school wrestler! If he comes to psu...fantastic. If not, he's gonna have to beat someone pretty damn good when they wrestle penn state. Wish the kid the best, and hope in 4 years he feels like he made the best decision.

There is nothing stopping high school kids from receiving NIL.
