Bo Nickal..dream crusher

Precisely why I prefaced it with, "the PSU lenses" statement so as to try to keep it impartial.

With that said, given the three other dramatic pins in the finals that were listed, would it be a stretch to you to think that many would find the pin of Taylor by Jenkins, also given all that had happened before, to NOT be considered dramatic? If not, I'd like to know why you don't think that it is. It certainly rocked me when I saw it.
"With PSU lenses" is neither factual nor impartial. Every PSU fan knew Jenkins was the worst finals matchup for Taylor simply due to room familiarity. I don't think anybody saw the pin coming, but that's wrestling.

OTOH, any assertion that the Jenkins pin was more monumental than Rob Rohn hitting a cement mixer while down by 13 in the 3rd period, should be laughed right off the board. Or referred to the guy who had to wrestle right after Rohn -- who happens to be the head coach at Penn State.

It's impartial, as in I'm a neutral observer, which I thought that my statement made clear. Apparently not.

I said nothing of the Jenkins pin being MORE monumental, but it could be argued to be one of the three biggest pins in NCAA finals history. Even you said what I said, in more or les words, in that no one saw that coming. Hence, an epic pin in a finals match.

That's all that my point was, was to present that possibility of it being a top 3 pin. Again, I like Taylor and I liked him then.

You made it perfectly clear that PSU fans are not impartial about the Jenkins/Taylor match by saying "with PSU lenses." Feel free to own that part of your quote.

And you're now saying that was one of the top 3 pins in NCAA finals history? Jammen would be proud.

First off, I'm an honest man and I'll tell you what I meant by my statement and I'll tell you when I'm in error. Please don't infer, as that's what has gotten us to this point for the past couple of days. OK?

I said that I am a neutral observer, and therefore, impartial. Regarding the PSU lenses, yes, it could perhaps be assumed that the Jenkins pin is not included because of that. I suspect, and I could be dead wrong, that if a poll were done among all wrestling fans, many would find that to be one of the most epic pins in NCAA history. Is it top 3? I don't know, but it would certainly be in the conversation, which is ALL that I was trying to include it as.

Self edit (after the fact)...Actually someone on here the other day pointed out how that pin of Jenkins' was debatable, as the ref really wasn't in position to see the shoulders. Upon my review of it, I actually agree with that poster's view; it wasn't very clear. That should help with the "honesty and impartiality questions" about me. I can also add A LOT more, if the need arises.

BOOOOOOOOOO!!! BOOOOOOO!!
Wow, deja vu all over again! Take the time and look at the link that I shared when all of this started where I jumped on UNI basketball fans for booing a former coach of ours and his son upon their return to UNI.

Yeah, even eight years ago, somehow folks found it self-entertaining to endlessly reply, "BOO!", like it hurts.

STALLING! BOOOOOO!!!! BOOOOO!!
Now THAT you hear at Sqwawker meets (see the partiality and bias, folks ;))?

Yeah, and it's why I find booing bush league. See? You have more in common with HR than you think, my boy!

Another self edit: Yeah, it would be one f*%k of a dual to watch the Sqwawkers live at PSU and watch all of you folks go back and forth booing one another, as the Sqwawkers bring along with them as many fans as the home team has. Something to hang your hat on, folks. You're in Sqwawker company and are proud of it to boot!

I think I enjoyed the Einstok, and Viking Gylltur beers the most while in Iceland last summer.

I'm heading to Alaska on Saturday, anyone have any recommendations on local beers to try?

At this point in these threads, I may as well start talking about flying my drone next week (which I'm looking forward to), since I can't remember what board this is.....

I understand you're looking through the PSU lenses, but Jenkins over Taylor was equally epic and unexpected.
I agree 100 percent with your Jenkins match thoughts. I also could of included Joseph decking Martinez.
I think I was trying to be diversified and not pick only Penn State matches.
When reflecting on last year team title, Ohio State fans suffered through 3 brutal pins.
Moore getting thrown to his back.
Lee decking the muscle bound Munchkin.
Bo pulling the rug on Martin.
I loved it.

Thanks. I will be there and will check it out. Not too far from where I'm staying while there.

The other good thing about vacation right now is that you go away for a week to 10 days and then are that much closer to the beginning of the season when you get back.... :)

Then be angry at the guy who brought up the three dramatic pins, not those of us who offer another impartial suggestion.

Keep in mind, I'm a neutral observer with PSU, but have always admired how good they are, how they conduct themselves (hence, my surprise at the booing), and how Sanderson conducts himself. My comment had nothing to do with a dig at anyone; I like Taylor myself.

It's your passive aggressive attitude that is rubbing folks the wrong way.

Ban, ya gotta keep up now. The Bucknuts didn't have a chance last year to win, because mean ole PSU wouldn't move the dual so more visiting fans could get tickets. So that would limit the booing...to one side only.

2nd time I’ve seen you respond to one of his posts today, I’m guessing after last nights tantrum that he may be in “time-out”.;)

If you click on his name it says last seen viewing the Wrestling Forum 10 minutes ago, but last post was last night. Can mods put a posting ban for a time period but you can still view? Or is he doing a self imposed waiting period?

Don’t know, I was just putting a guess based upon what I saw him post last night, the amount of posting he generally does on any given day, and the complete silence from him today seemed to add up to “time-out”.

I'll end the mystery for those of you who are wondering. Obviously, I've not been banned, but I've worn out my welcome here and have opted, on my own volition, to remove myself from this board.

Like Matter said..we all have bad days..it wasn't your content that drove me nuts, it was not letting it go when the argument wasn't going anywhere.

For what it's worth..prior to yesterday, personally, I've enjoyed your posting history here.

No hard feelings from me at least

Yeah man, no bridges burned, as far as I'm concerned. I mean, Fairport Convention AND Da Ali G show? We have a lot in common. :)
