Bojo would have gone at 60%

Ridiculous that he was "okay" to go against Meyer but not against Hall. Pathetic, even.
Ryan's always reminded me of Shelley, the desperate, pathetic salesman from Glengarry Glen Ross

I'm not speaking about OSU's history of sitting starters in the past. But, as disappointed as I am, I can understand Bo's sitting tonight. From what I hear he's not fully healed yet. I think the Iowa dual probably showed that. Being this close to the post-season, you want him healthy. I admit that I don't know the nature of his injury, but I'll give the benefit of the doubt to the coaches.

BS.

That was done to protect his seed, period.

Anyone who think Ryan deserves a seat at the table with regards to determining a format to crown a team champion:

15,000+ show up to watch a wrestling match in Columbus Ohio and Ohio State sits 2 starters.

I really hope Jordan was unable to wrestle and the only reason for him weighing in was weight management and I really hope little Ryan was also physically unable to go. The shame is I do not believe either was not able.

Tonight was a big moment for Ohio State wrestling and Ryan intentionally failed to put the program's best foot forward.

It really is a shame.

Hopefully all the HS recruits are paying attention.

If BoJo REALLY is hurt, there ain't a lot of time now to heal up for B1G's.

He'll be wrestling hurt at Big Ten's then.

I concur.

I get that fans are disappointed, and I know Tan Tom's background with National Duals, and with his guys seeming to miss a lot of matches, does not give him a lot of benefit of doubt.

That said, I put all those things aside. BoJo weighed in, so tOSU considered wrestling him. I suspect his weighing in was to make him available IF they were within striking distance of winning the dual.

BoJo's obviously been dealing with an ankle issue for a good chunk of this season. The fact that he wrestled Meyer last week means nothing to me. The trainers may have thought he was ready to go. He may have re-tweaked it during the Iowa dual, or in practice this week. The ankle may have been bothering him last week, but he wanted to see how it held up in a dual as it's getting close to postseason. It's his ankle, and none of us know exactly what the situation is.

BoJo has only had 9 matches this year, and Meyer was the only guy he's faced that's likely to make NCAAs. tOSU and he are caught between wanting to get him healthy for B1Gs and NCAAs, and wanting to get him competition to help with his coaches' ranking, RPI, etc.

But he was only at 58% so it was prudent to sit him.

Might as well crown his ass!
Bull crap !!!! They saw Hall shouls have beat the Iowa guy and Jordan only beat him by 1 point....THEY WERE PROTECTING HIS SEED !!!! BOTTOM LINE....Hope it back fires on them in the Big Ten tournament....

They are in a rock and a hard place: If they send BoJo out again, he could reinjure it and he's done. If they sit him the rest of the way, he still goes into Bloomingon with a bum ankle, and he has been sitting on the shelf ice cold for a month also.

But tonight was about protecting his seed, and it's BS.

I don't understand all the vitriol over BoJo not going tonight. While it would have been exciting to watch a Hall-Jordan matchup, and the letdown is disappointing, what does it matter whether Hall beats him tonight vs. beating him at B1Gs?

Hall will get his chance. And I like his odds.

It's about the seeds. Ryan knew if he lost to Hall tonight, then loses again at B1G's, then Hall gets the 1 seed at Nationals. This way, if he loses at B1G's, he still keeps his seed, or at worst, only falls to 3rd. My problem, is the protection of seeds.

It's chickenshit.

This was a practice meet so why all the up set folks cause Jordan didn't wrestle?
Hall will win it all in March. Penn State will have have champs at 49,57,74 and 84. 2nd at 125, 6th at 41,3rd at hwt, and 7-8 at 165 and 197. Only one not making AA is 133..So calm down enjoy the ride ..

All jokes aside, as the athlete (in my Jim Gibbons voice) you gotta be thinking...coach, WTF??? Let me compete and do what I've done my whole life...win or lose, it's on me...
