Ton of recruiting info on the premium board, including a transfer tracker to see which targets PSU is showing interest in.

The 2022 Recruiting Class is basically done, and it was done back in December 2021. The general recruiting landscape has changed over the past couple of years with the early signing period in December, so there arent that many late commits/signees. There are a couple of guys who have taken official visits to Penn State this month, but they seem to be long-shots. Maybe we will get a surprise or two, but they are 3/low 4 star guys.
I can say with complete honesty that I do not miss McAndrew the slightest bit. He is a petty tyrant of a free message board, like an overzealous President of a volunteer HOA board. Good Riddance

Recruiting, in terms of interest, to me, has really suffered. It started with the early signing period. LOI day was like Xmas day. Not any more.
Secondly, the Xfer portal has hurt as signing a kid is not quite meaningless but certainly degradated. Just as likely your HS kid will bug out and will be replace by a kid bugging in.
Finally, NIL has exacerbated both LOI and Portal transfers. It is no longer about playing for a program but money maximization.

It still exists, you just have to go to the other website where the McAndrew Board is still free. I bounce between the two, although I find myself going to the other one more often.
Wow --- your post caught me completely by surprise. I think Tom is a great guy with a tremendous amount of tact and situational common sense. He also has a great love, and knowledge of, American history. I'm going to assume that you had a post (probably political) deleted by him and are unable to develop any perspective on the reasons "why". If I'm wrong about that --- my bad, but I still disagree with you 100% about him.

Anyone who says and bans people for making political posts and then reviews the 1619 project and “finds Hannah Nicole Brown credible” is a hypocritical piece of trash.
To each his own. FWIW, Tom never deleted anything I posted. I generally try to keep things academic and non personal (unless someone attacks me personally). He did passively-aggressively threaten to ban me a few times though.
Tom is a political hack. He was incapable of differentiating between "politics" and policy. He would make threats of banning if you discussed how public policy would impact things at Penn State - if he disagreed with it, that is, becuase "politics." He pontificated about historical politics, and would let people he agreed with make political posts, but would make threats if anyone countered.
And frankly, I also found the standards he claimed to enforce to be extremely hypocritical. Don't talk about how Title IX actually impacts universities, hurts athletes, or was being used to take away the due process of students, but let's create a T&A bracket and vote on which woman makes us the most sexually aroused. TEST BOARD! Good Riddance.
Nailed it right there. I'm thankful I didn't see him posting about the 1619 project or NHJ. I can say, with utmost certainly, that Tom would have banned me when I pointed out his "politics" and shredded his analysis.
Tom provided the best free recruiting information on the web and I am grateful for that. He brought up interesting history issues and always seemed to answer questions with a thoughtful accuracy. Some of the people who are criticizing him here are the same complainers who made the COVID thread unreadable, who see politics and conspiracies everywhere, and who will doom this site if they don’t get booted. If you are in that crowd, please don’t respond because I don’t care what you think.

Sure, the non-techies like LaJolla deflect and just snark, but lots of good stuff from Cletus, PSU2UNC, PSUSLU, and myself.
Once again, calling for people to get booted is censorship, and in all of history, those people have seldom, if ever, been on the right side.
Here's why I am not a fan of Tom. About a dozen years ago one of my players was visiting for the blue-white game. He was a three-star recruit who had Penn State in his final three and when we went by Tom's tent he noticed us and ask me to come back to talk to him once my player left to go with the team. I came back and all he did was needle me about trying to get inside information regarding my player as well as some other ones that he was friends with. He kept harassing me and another one of our coaches about it even offering a free year subscription if we would supply him information. The whole thing turned off all of us and probably even a couple other coaches or parents who he did the same thing too.
It's another I'm a victim BS mentality. It's the new way of trying hard to become a victim for some here. Tom left the Test board out there for those idiots to run around in for years, but then they would still cry about it and push the envelope on his site. Only one dope tried to migrate over there like that and thankfully he was pretty much shutdown so we don't need to hear these victims of tyranny. This site is now what happens when you don't have the base and you cannot moderate as you need to keep the numbers and clicks up. Most of the good posters are over there or on 247 anyway. Idiots chased off bmw and smails....so there won't be much here.

The McAndrew board also had the BEST free info on recruiting. Whatever your thoughts on the manor his politics, there is nothing else quite like the recruiting threads that were on his board.
Why are you still here LaJolla? You have engaged in a litany of the things you are complaining about, just in the last 24 hours, and now you refuse to answer any questions with anything but name calling(or was that always?).
