The university can not pay any costs for the RS to travel. Even an open like Edinboro will generally require a hotel room for overnight, plus transportation to get there, food while they are away. Something like the Scuffle is even costlier.

Best case is that the RSs who are going carpool and then split a hotel room there. But this is not always feasible.

I believe your question has been answered...above, by several other folks.

My "dollars and sense", was about the DOLLARS spent by the family for the RS to wrestle, again explained very well above, and whether it makes SENSE, meaning every tournament is not created equal and other intangibles.

No it isn't. I was merely speculating based on his brother. Obviously, they are completely different wrestlers, and that has put away my speculation.

I am watching Griffin Patriot on BTN in 60. That caused me to bump this thread. Back in December I listened to a podcast with Griffin and Brady who were working out together in Minnesota in preparation for the Midlands. Both seemed enthusiastic. But Brady has not wrestled a match since that broadcast. Is there any new info on his situation?

If you want to compare things...how many matches did Cenzo Joseph wrestle in his redshirt year? I know there were supposed weight issues etc. but he didn't light up the opens that I can recall.

I think he went to 2 and teched just about everyone. Followed it up with a full FS schedule. Hoping Berge does the same
