So, Elon Musk is saying that Social Security is one big "Ponzi Scheme" that he wants to pare back. In an effort to build public support for this idea, Musk has come out with some real whoppers, such as his statement that "millions and millions of people over 100 years old" have been receiving improper benefits from Social Security, calling it perhaps “the biggest fraud in the history of humanity.” (Who knew there are "millions" of Americans over the age of 100, and that these aged miscreants are receiving improper Social Security benefits?! Factcheck.org puts the number of Americans age 99 or older receiving Social Security at 89,000. Obviously, Factcheck.org must be mistaken.)
Brilliant thinking, Elon! The world's richest man wants to hack away at this country's social safety net and impoverish seniors who depend on it. What better way to display his human kindness and earn the support of voters, particularly senior voters.
Many of you Trump Cultists no doubt depend on your monthly (?) Social Security check. I'd HATE to see that Elon yank that away from you. Kinda ... 🐘 🤡

Elon Musk slams Social Security as a ‘Ponzi scheme,’ sparking new concerns
It’s one thing for Musk to peddle bogus claims about imagined Social Security “fraud.” It’s something else when he targets the system itself.
